the Official Preppy Handbook is a bit old but it's got some good stuff if you're looking for the classic New England Prep look
@Deleted User Very nice. From that last link, I found a link to a Scottish importer. I wish I had found it 6 months ago, as I was looking for some nice wool clothes
My grandma used to have an Irish import shop on Long Island. It was a hobby for her, and never really turned a profit. I wish there were the kinds of homogeneous strongholds that would make something like that possible where I live
First pair of "wolverines". Have had them for a month and so far they've held up great. But the reason for the post is because they're the most comfortable pair of steel toe work boots I've owned.
@JesseJames awesome, it's hard to find comfortable steel toe. I had a pair of Worx steel toe shoes, oil and slip resistant and they were like walking on a cloud.
I've tried all of the name brand [redwings Justin's etc] and these by far are superior.
I really like danner
They're extremely comfortable and a lot of them are recraftable
Does anyone have a suggestion for a brand and/or website for boots. Particularly for everyday ware as opposed to work/hiking?
Red Wing Heritage collection. High quality boots with a timeless look appropriate for everyday wear, but can also hold up in work conditions. Take a look at the Blacksmiths and Iron Rangers.
Wolverine 1000 Miles are similar to the Blacksmiths, but a little slimmer.
Justin and Double H
My first pair of work boots when I was 18 were Wolverines. I can't remember the model, and I'm not happy about it. They were really good lace ups with a high ankle
Lel, Wolverine has an "Overman" model
Again- danner ftw
You really can't go wrong
They've got a model for just about everything
Seriously though- a lot are made in America, most are recraftable, they're extremely comfortable, and they still stitch the soles down on a lot of them(which is important to me personally)
