@Grayson No.
hmm bummer
My kid in my case isn't an outcast or anything either, tall fit kid, normal all around but just has a constant hard on for Korea, everytime we talk about anything cultural he always has to say "Well in Korea..."
Just realized.. with this NPC meme.
The left says it’s dehumanizing, but haven’t they been calling us russian bots for the past two years?
@fgtveassassin He's not that Xenophilic. He does have an interest in Japan and Korea though.
white people with low self esteem often give up on white people because they know that someone from - say the Philippines - will make them feel special even though all they want is to move to the US and think all Americans are rich and will spoil them. Sad how some of them get manipulated. once they bring the other person over to the US, the marriage usually falls apart but by then they might have a Visa through their marriage
He's only 18. I'm sure I can talk him out of doing such a thing.
Or so I hope.
Yeah there's no changing this kid's mind at all, he wants to be an F1 driver (no fault for having big aspirations by the way) and he's going to marry a K-pop idol
I mean, I'd tell him that Korea is a pretty different place than he imagines
... I'll say this much: his aspirations are male as fuck
@Deleted User Look, I agree that we should find ways to explain our positions that appeal to emotion, but if we just outright ignore research we're going to end up looking like retards. People will inevitably ask for sources for our claims, and we'll be laughed off if we just respond with platitudes.
We're going to sound like those Trump fanboys who always talk about Kate Steinle or whatever and then just stutter and trip over their words when someone brings up the statistic that immigrants commit less crime.
beats the shit outta me wanting to win a Pulitzer and a Nobel Prize in Literature
@fgtveassassin That was a joke?
There's a reason the "dumb Trump supporter" stereotype exists, and it's not entirely because of unfair media portrayals
My thing? Not at all
@fgtveassassin You think he can't be dissuaded?
@Jacob Who cares about crime. How about the breakdown in community cohesion?
I've tried, but he says he's deadset, he wants a nice traditional woman, which he thinks he'll never find in white women and only in qt asian gfs, he's a great kid all around other than the wanting a qt asian gf though
I don't disagree with you, but, "immigrants commit less crime" is a pretty strong talking point that we should be able to respond to
@Salo Saloson Maybe.
either he'll figure out that, "hey, maybe the people who eat dogs aren't the kind of people I want to be in bed with"
or he'll realize, "maybe them white women aren't so bad after all"
I don't he'll realize until he sees, in person how xenophobic Asians are, if I bring it up know he goes "Well there's a lot of American influence in Korea now so obviously they don't hate America " its frustrating honestly talking to him about anything cultural
sounds like he needs to go to Asia for a week or two
He's 18. He'll get over it.
@fgtveassassin He'll probably study abroad in Korea or Japan. That will give him an idea. Not if he's in Tokyo though.
I would give advice, but...
Yeah I need to basically just remind myself that not every is as spergy as I was in high school with this stuff
We're both in college.
@DeusVolk ...
I don’t get the asian women thing, I don’t find them attractive at all
Unless they’re like 9/10 by Asian standards
It started out as part of nerd culture I think
It's like wearing suspenders to make a fashion statement
Asians are liked because they're exotic and "untouched" by white culture
Any time boomers or whites find non-whites attractive is because they have mostly white facial features, IMO.
I've yet to meet a White who went googly eyed over a full on native American or aboriginal
it's an ironically racist take by people who don't call themselves racists
@The Eternal Anglo Native Americans are creepy looking.
Gavin McInnes lol
