In my boyhood in the 1960s WWI veterans were already super old. Even my grandfather was too young for WWI. But there were a LOT of WWI veterans staggering around. I was acquainted with several in my family and otherwise. They were ALL satisfyingly hard right wing. My role models.

@Felden - CO It must be harder for you living amongst pleasant mid-Westerners. Here in the South there are many, many people with lovely faces, but just looking at them you know they are satisfyingly bitter and angry. My people. One thing my wife and I love is the large number of redheads here. We will frequently see a young redheaded child throwing an epic tantrum in the grocery store, and our thoughts will be the same. A future violent alcoholic. We need more of those in our movement.
