I haven't paid attention very actively to the username protocol for new pledges. Do they have to wait until full membership to add state tags, or are some of them just forgetting?

I have some of the momentos he gave me, like Japanese Yen he brought back with him from when he was there.

In my boyhood in the 1960s WWI veterans were already super old. Even my grandfather was too young for WWI. But there were a LOT of WWI veterans staggering around. I was acquainted with several in my family and otherwise. They were ALL satisfyingly hard right wing. My role models.

@ThisIsChris My grandfather has a Japanese imperial flag from the war.

I had an uncle who served in the Aleutians when Japan had taken a couple of islands there. His main contribution to victory was in winning every poker game he ever sat in on. Like my mother, he was a genius at card counting. He sent back to his girlfriend in the states $40,000 and told her to find a house and buy it.
