I don't go to church right now, not sure how much that matters
Ah, well I mostly meant that as a community factor. If you are active in community groups then you can get the non-religious aspects of church elsewhere.
I miss Washington tbh
Living in a 75% black city really makes me miss places like Coeur d’Alene
I don’t even hate it here but still.
Would be nice if I could take the trash out at night without looking over my shoulder constantly.

@Wood-Ape - OK/MN I've thought of going to church just for the community
Ask me about Spokane area churches.
@Jacob I have too, but I can’t help but feel kind of disingenuous about it.
I actually don't know if I've ever been to Coeur d'Alene. Need to find an excuse to go
Some of them are good.
@Deleted User Tell us about Spokane area churches
Dude it’s awesome you should go
Go in the summer and swim in the lake.
There’s about 5 good ones.
I just need two things (1) an excuse and (2) a way to get there
My dad used to take us over there all the time when we lived in Spokane
I used to live downtown Salt Lake City and I couldn’t take it anymore I was feeling claustrophobic and tired of Being surrounded by Mexicans so I moved up north in a rural area; bought 2 acres and I am in a very white community now. Of course I have a long commute but it’s worth it. I only see blond haired blue eye kids running around and so far we don’t have any non-whites on our street.
We have 2 Christian Identity churches here. And a militia church.
Well, now that I have my own apartment, maybe I'll stay in Eastern Washington for part of the Summer. I lived in the dorms in the past, which kick you out for the Summer, so I would just go back to my parents. @ophiuchus
I really think I can handle Birmingham much better than I could a place like Seattle.
Seattle is gross
Even if it’s only 25% white, it isn’t atomized. You do belong to a block of people, at least, even if you are under black rule.
Having a bunch of blacks sounds nice compared to having people from here and there
@Grayson I couldn’t believe what downtown Salt Lake became. I have a place in Holladay I keep for skiing. Even there on the outskirts it has gotten a bit rough
Yeah. It’s not great, obviously, but I really prefer it to something like New York.
The less different groups, the more of a social life there is
I have learned how to deal with African Americans. Random Somalis and Bengalis not so much.
what a chad
Splash mountain is the last stand of implicit white identity
People who are pressing X to doubt, have you ever experiences true diversity? Like, there's one guy from Vietnam, one guy from Samoa, one guy from Nigeria, etc.
UW is genuinely depressing
I’ll add that this city is incredibly ethnically segregated. Two black people out of maybe 30 live in my apartment building and I’m in a 3/4 black city.
Would seriously take this over New York any day.
oh ya that's another good point; you have to learn to deal with each group
@Ace92- VA hey welcome to NoVA (Northern VA)! You definitely should join our regional slack. I have a few ideas on places to live. George Mason University is in Fairfax so there should be very affordable housing all around in Fairfax proper
@Alexander Pechorin oh yeah it’s gotten bad in the last few years!!! I couldn’t stand it anymore! Now I have neighbors who wave the confederate flag 😂 you have a place in Holladay ????
Learned to conduct yourself in a dichotomy is significantly easier than learning how to live in a melange of whatever.
