@William Russell I think the Anglo was rapidly approaching social cohesion levels akin to Japan, but they were inverted due to...influence

2018-11-21 04:14:29 UTC

I suspect they killed off all their good stock in two world wars.

2018-11-21 04:14:34 UTC

They tried to expel them several times they just kept coming back

2018-11-21 04:14:36 UTC

The BBC was used to manage the decline of th empire

2018-11-21 04:14:41 UTC

@VinceChaos yeah i like him more than other yt channels because he's fact-focused and has some good economic and political insights. Unfortunately he stopped making videos after jewtube demonitized him

2018-11-21 04:15:33 UTC

@Alexander Pechorin the world wars were they defining moments I guess 2000 years of history couldn’t hold up

2018-11-21 04:15:36 UTC

@Alexander Pechorin theres alot of truth to that, basically all of Evrope suffered that

2018-11-21 04:15:41 UTC

Only takes a couple generations

2018-11-21 04:16:28 UTC

It’s like he 40’s onward everything started going warp speed

2018-11-21 04:16:30 UTC

WWI in particular lost a lot of the officer and aristocracy class. Many of the best men died because they had a duty to fight

2018-11-21 04:16:42 UTC

Idk how much of it to chalk up to technological advancement

2018-11-21 04:16:52 UTC

The real men

2018-11-21 04:18:21 UTC

@Nemets that makes good sense I have not thought of that before.

2018-11-21 04:18:52 UTC

Should the US convert to metric?

2018-11-21 04:19:47 UTC

It does make us unique I don’t know if I would consider it a cultural influencer but it would be one of the first things you would notice

2018-11-21 04:20:47 UTC

The history of metrology is pretty interesting, the US standard inch was finalized by Swedish manufacturing to more easily convert to metric around ww1

2018-11-21 04:20:54 UTC

I was stretching lol

2018-11-21 04:21:37 UTC

We did we begin to differ from England as far as metric systems go

2018-11-21 04:22:32 UTC

The US figured out the standard railroad gauge quicker than most. Or was able to implement it anyhow

2018-11-21 04:22:32 UTC

@William Russell Join voice chat,

2018-11-21 04:22:41 UTC

Yeah each town had its own derivation of cubits and feet, but local nutrition could massively influence the measurement only few miles away

2018-11-21 04:22:51 UTC

@Tyler0317 I would if I wasn’t in bed

2018-11-21 04:23:23 UTC

Pregnant wife would be angry waking up hearing me talk about measurement systems

2018-11-21 04:23:28 UTC

@William Russell The Waifu won't mind.

Babbe, I'm just chatting with the NoHomoBros

2018-11-21 04:24:02 UTC

Haha it’s only Tyler 😉

2018-11-21 04:24:20 UTC

>Jump in voice chat, homies.

The water is warm

2018-11-21 04:24:37 UTC

I’ll admit I’ve never gotten on to voice chat in here

2018-11-21 04:24:52 UTC

I always imagined a lot of people talking over each other. Is it chill?

2018-11-21 04:25:19 UTC

yeah, theres only 4 of us

2018-11-21 04:25:31 UTC

@metasophocles what do you mean about local nutrition? In relation to intelligence?

2018-11-21 04:26:01 UTC

Does look like a cozy crew @Tyler0317

2018-11-21 04:27:09 UTC

Wow lol that’s a lot of ways to skin a cat

2018-11-21 04:27:21 UTC

Did the jews come in and tidy everything up?

2018-11-21 04:27:23 UTC

@William Russell the average size of the man was used to determine the length of measure so healthier towns with bigger men had bigger units of measure

2018-11-21 04:28:11 UTC

Lol that’s sorta funny. That makes sense. I could see them using their actual feet to measure things

2018-11-21 04:29:27 UTC

@Nemets I’m lacking in the Victorian era. It only recently had any appeal to me

2018-11-21 04:30:32 UTC

My weakest area of history for sure @Nemets you’re very knowledgeable. Out of curiosity what time in history would you say is your least knowledgeable?

2018-11-21 04:32:11 UTC

Really the American Civil war has kind of inspired me to study it a little bit to understand the global context
