This is how political change happens. It's never as simple as getting the right guy elected. Looking at political changes in the past, what happened was the Overton Window shifted over time, and politicians from the opposition started coopting an idea.

For example, by the time gay marriage went through, Republicans were coming out in favor of it

@Rabbidsith Honestly, I think they just want to slow our replacement a bit because they realize that their support for very high mass immigration is causing a backlash. I would rather John Kerry and Clinton keep pushing unrestricted mass immigration because it makes our jobs easier.
