Huge campus tours today. If only I wasn't currently enrolled and knew about it before hand, would have been a good morning to flyer.

Mmmm pizza

2018-11-30 17:54:30 UTC

What percentage of the world doesn’t know what pizza is

Our hut will be turf- roofed

2018-11-30 17:59:32 UTC

@missliterallywho That's actually an interesting idea...

2018-11-30 18:00:01 UTC

build/rebuild poor white housing

2018-11-30 18:02:09 UTC

@Virgil idk about pro-White, but I know the Russian govt is far more traditional than ours is. Aren't they still aggressively arresting homosexual activists?

2018-11-30 18:03:14 UTC

I remember reading Maine has the oldest *average* building age. Combination of being built to last and resourceful woodland rurals

2018-11-30 18:03:32 UTC

In all seriousness though, I've always wanted to live in a yurt

2018-11-30 18:04:14 UTC

Yurts are nice as long as you have a cellar to hide in for tornadoes

2018-11-30 18:05:47 UTC

@Sam Southern - TN Sure, they are certainly much better than our current government, but a lot of people seem to think that the Kremlin is Identitarian or white nationalist and that is simply untrue.

2018-11-30 18:06:00 UTC

If you're in a dry forest remember defensible space!

2018-11-30 18:06:08 UTC

(for fires)

2018-11-30 18:06:24 UTC

@Wood-Ape - OK/MN Build it in the Appalachians away from tornadoes

2018-11-30 18:08:39 UTC

cellars are a good idea for disasters both natural and man-made

2018-11-30 18:08:44 UTC

The gorgeous cabin we really wanted to rent for winter had a yurt and a river in the backyard.

2018-11-30 18:09:16 UTC

@missliterallywho rent to another IR member!

2018-11-30 18:09:21 UTC

Yeah but that defeats the purpose of a yurt, at that point you might as well build a full house

2018-11-30 18:09:37 UTC

@Wood-Ape - OK/MN We didn't get it 😔

2018-11-30 18:10:10 UTC

Hubs didn't have a job lined up yet when we applied.

2018-11-30 18:10:16 UTC

Just live in PA. We don't have to worry about tornados here

2018-11-30 18:10:35 UTC

MT > PA (or most of the east coast tbh)

2018-11-30 18:11:07 UTC

A yurt on top of a cellar (for nuclear winter)

2018-11-30 18:11:22 UTC

Eastern forests have ticks that make you disabled, vegan, or retarded (seems redundant but they are actually three different diseases)

2018-11-30 18:11:33 UTC

Then again the ticks are spreading

2018-11-30 18:11:42 UTC
2018-11-30 18:12:19 UTC

Oh god ticks are terrifying. Flicked one off from behind my ear after a hike once. NEVER AGAIN

2018-11-30 18:12:35 UTC

Can't archive this one, because there's audio, but wow, this is basically half an hour of the New York Times substantiating, despite themselves, some of the most fundamental counter-Semitic "tropes" (read: empirical observations): https://www.nytimes.com/2018/10/30/podcasts/the-daily/american-anti-semitism-shooting-synagogue.html

2018-11-30 18:12:56 UTC

If I had to have a basement in my yurt, this one would be alright

2018-11-30 18:13:26 UTC

Ticks aren't an issue if you're careful. I've been hiking for years with no problems. If you do get a tick bite, be sure to get tested for lyme immediately though

2018-11-30 18:13:29 UTC

Seen college rugby players and skilled ballerina turned into cane walking infirms via Lyme disease

2018-11-30 18:14:29 UTC

Lyme can be treated, but it's easier if it's caught early and it technically never leaves the body. It just goes dormant

2018-11-30 18:15:08 UTC

I never had an issue with ticks, mostly just walking face first into spider webs with lots of spiders on them

2018-11-30 18:15:42 UTC

We thought we wanted to live in a tiny house, even with kids, until we spent my pregnancy in a very small rental. No thanks! I need space to spread out, and cooking in a tiny kitchen is awful.

2018-11-30 18:15:59 UTC

@Virgil I know that feel. Even on a busy trail I hit the untouched higher-up webs

2018-11-30 18:17:11 UTC

With all due respect to Southron friends, gotta live in a place with real winters

2018-11-30 18:17:38 UTC

@Virgil bruh stop crawling through bushes lmao

2018-11-30 18:18:20 UTC

need a month or too bug free. Such as in Europe
