Certainly part of the story but seems to be missing role of the humanitarian meme
Also, the aristocracy used to derive their legitimacy from martial prowess, and they instilled their values on the rest of society, with industrialization, democracy, and gunpowder the aristocracy came to derive their legitimacy from wealth and titles, and occaisonally from being smart and cultured but even that dwindled with time, and they ceased to be the dominant shaper of society, being replaced by the bourgeaoise
@Sam Anderson Space Marines now!
Maybe the constant changes in society brought on by industrialization empowered the idea that individual failure must always be due to unnatural environment
Changes in elite values is definitely part of it. Huge motive behind equality meme is elites concern with heading off revolution
Industrialization also led to horrid health conditions with overpacked cities and not enough sunlight; sun, nutrition and nature are essential for testoserone production
The involvement of elite behind egalitarianism is hugely motivated by fear of revolt by working class . This ties directly to rise of gun powder and mass conscription
idk if y'all saw this, but columbia U put this out after that kid was talking about how white people built the modern world while "arguing" with non-white students
Invincible knights don't need to fear peasents but pasty financial elites do need to fear the militia
the kid didn't even say anything negative
Time to hit up Columbia with some fliers sounds like
@wayne peek 👆 🤔
Evole wrote that basically we went from the rule of king priests like in Egypt to warrior kings with priests subservient to them as in Rome, to priests with warriors subservient to them in the middle ages, then the bourgeoius of the industrial revolution and capitalism and finally the masses of communism. Each is less virile than the last.
Egypt though
Columbia is a private school
So I mean if somebody was a true Chad...
Also, the rise of humanitarian movements was accompanied by womans suffrage, I dont know enough about 1800 social history to say if the humanitarian movements were more of a by product of women becoming involved in politics or if it was more that both were effects of the same root cause. Possibly a bit of both.
Got your gift in the mail today @Sam Anderson 😃
@⚡Clark⚡ That's what my dad said yes,his line originally came over during 1400's,bulk of line got wiped out,then rest of line came over again 1600's,been here since. MacLeod of Lewis.
@Isabella Locke-MT Oh great! I was starting to think I messed up and my Dad would be like wtf why did Sam order a baby carrier? Did he knock some chick up this sounds expensive.
I think it came on saturday but we haven't really checked the mail lol
@Josh M. -OH ancient Egypians were basically white or close enough, for example Ramses II had red hair. They didn't become how they are now until the Arab conquests, and several other conquests by outside powers
@Goose the language they use in that response. "Deeply disturbing", "racially charged", "alarming footage", "painful language". <:really:453005408064241674>

@celticflame only like 2,000 Europeans came to the new world from 1492-1500
Yes, sadly that is all i know. We would have been here as some of the 1st settlers
I know my mom's side came over on Mayflower
Those were records my our cousin Forest dug up from Mormon Church he got info from long long ago
I still need more info from mom's side Bosten Tea Party,etc too
@TylerHess the biggest problem is that this ignores the existence of pre Christian societies north or Italy during those times.
My moms side has ancestors who came over on the mayflower and fought in the revolution too but they're all liberals now
ughhhh

I just paid off my credit card completely on the 5th. the payments is not pending, it went through but my card still got declined yesterday
@TylerHess Really? Cool! Yes that is soo depressing to hear too. I know i have some liberals in mine too unfortunately
they are incredibly hard to reach by phone and when I did reach them, I was talking to an indian that barely spoke english
I'm sorry @Isabella Locke-MT That is the total frustration dealing with those jerks,another messed part of usa,alot outsourcing
Hopefully you can try better luck later,tomorrow or another way?
