this is why revolutions fail to change anything for the better
Ok are you being obtuse or do you really not see the point im making?
Thats Directive 51 I mentioned above
Military should always remain apolitical
I think people are overexaggerating the political slant of judges and it's not great for the country
please give an example of his behavior that would warrant pardon seeking
Not all that have broken a law are justifiable for punishment.
I just want a simple yes or no based on your own analysis of gulianni, what is your answer to the question of likely hood that this occurred , not based on the article but based on everything you have learned about guliani @ImNotGas
youve yet to provide an allegation of a crime
I want Trump to fight tooth and nail on these claims, just because I want to see how far down the rabbit hole goes, but imposing martial law is just asinine
When the military gets involved in politics, you end up with Turkey.
I don't want to end up like Turkey. kthx.
@AdamS The military ought to remain apolitical but it will not. It is comprised of humans and they are a political species.
@james j right i cant answer that question if i dont have anything to judge him on, is there anything close to a crime that he has done?
Turkey has lots of cats.
@james j do you have a single reference that i could look at? or are we just going to play its possible he did something game?
That's essentially an ad-hom argument. You can't dismiss every point by attacking the source. At some point, a fact is a fact. In this case, they cite the source of the numbers.
One would hope they abide by the laws at least.
When the founder of the KGB was asked why he had Lenin assassinated, he replied, "who needs revolutionaries after the revolution is won?"
Hasn't the military been involved since Trump started replacing everyone in the Pentagon
@AdamS In my experience, they will cover by use of law where possible and find a patsy where admissable.
@Dedkraken No.
@ImNotGas I just want a simple yes or no based on what you know. It’s a easy question. Just say no if you don’t think it’s likely based on what you know or yes based on what you know
Wasnt it Rob Mueller and Don Rumsfeld who lied to the American public about there being weapons of mass destruction in Iraq? Back in 2001?
Yes
@Maw The military ought not get involved unless compelled by their oath. That will become the key question at some point. And that will mean civil war is inevitable at that point.
> Hasn't the military been involved since Trump started replacing everyone in the Pentagon
@Dedkraken How dare you suggest that's exactly what one should expect from someone 'leaving his options open' to sieze power.
Very true.
@ImNotGas I just want to see if you are willing to answer a question directly , lots of gish galloping for a simple question that I guess needed multiple clarifications
its not a simple question because i dont know what behavior im supposed to be jduging
We don't talk about civil war here, nor really entertain the idea. It's dangerous discussion that is 1) Not useful and 2) Produces results further distancing people from one another.
"YEs or no do you believe something possibly happened?"
the hell kind of question is that
But to be fair the CIA had previously supplied Iraq with weapons and didn't know where they went...
@Adam135 Not exactly. The only nation that didn't think Iraq had WMD was France - and well, no one trusted French intelligence. It would have helped if Hussein had not been bluffing about their development and use as a deterrent to the aggression of his neighbors.
After Borat I'm sure Guiliani done some crap 🤣
