If the poll watchers are asked to leave, then they will. They took their sweet time packing up before "receiving a phone call" that @james j 's media report alleged, which came after they pulled these ballot box suitcases out.

@em yes mass confusion due to a overhead announcement is common. You never seen a crowd clear out of a place

2020-12-08 00:46:57 UTC

There is NO stage that Watchers are REQUIRED

2020-12-08 00:47:22 UTC

@Recalibar they weren’t . Poll workers were told they could go home, not poll watchers

2020-12-08 00:47:23 UTC

It could have been an honest mistake also. Just miscommunication not intentional.

2020-12-08 00:47:26 UTC

It's carefully edited to try and explain away wrongdoing.

2020-12-08 00:47:31 UTC

Omg

2020-12-08 00:47:43 UTC

You guys will come up with any excuse

2020-12-08 00:47:49 UTC

Poll watchers went home as well.

2020-12-08 00:48:05 UTC

Thinking it was done. Then the workers came back to break state law.

2020-12-08 00:48:28 UTC

Thats what happened to germany in 1918!

2020-12-08 00:48:31 UTC

Ive heard this argument, and i raise you the fact that miscommunication can happen, to the fact that after its discovered to be exactly that, you don’t continue misunderstanding

2020-12-08 00:48:38 UTC

or miscommunicating

2020-12-08 00:48:47 UTC

you don’t just continue going because oh

2020-12-08 00:48:53 UTC

we werent supposed to stop

2020-12-08 00:48:59 UTC

go get the people who left

2020-12-08 00:49:04 UTC

They’re not gone

2020-12-08 00:49:05 UTC

@Recalibar hence they were confused when they overheard on the loud speaker poll workers could go home

2020-12-08 00:49:14 UTC

You do if you're the government

2020-12-08 00:49:21 UTC

I would appreciate that if this were the case, they would be honest.

2020-12-08 00:49:25 UTC

Like, actually.

2020-12-08 00:49:26 UTC

@em they aren’t required to be there for the counting

2020-12-08 00:49:33 UTC

James im gonna block u

2020-12-08 00:49:34 UTC

@em, you just advanced to level 5!

2020-12-08 00:49:35 UTC

Which is why they continued

2020-12-08 00:49:47 UTC

@james j "Ding-dong. This is a message to all poll watchers. Please go home. The election is now over."

2020-12-08 00:49:53 UTC

that is a shitty argument and you know it

2020-12-08 00:49:58 UTC

This is hilarious 🍿

2020-12-08 00:50:36 UTC

Honestly, a lot of my concerns with the video would be alleviated if the poll workers came forward and said "hey, we made a mistake, we should not have been counting those ballots, this was clearly an error on our part but those were official ballots that needed to be counted and we regret that the poll watchers went home."

2020-12-08 00:50:48 UTC

It's even more hilarious that your popcorn emoji has a "click to learn more" hover feature.

2020-12-08 00:50:48 UTC

@em You are suggesting he made a shitty argument on purpose?

2020-12-08 00:50:52 UTC

But Nah. "Not a mistake. No wrong-doing."

2020-12-08 00:50:58 UTC

Over and over again yes

2020-12-08 00:51:00 UTC

Well there is.... Im sorry. The ballot do not get counted at the time they are removed from the outer envelope. This is just a fact.

A voter send in an application for a ballot. The signature on the application is matched with the signature on file. If it matches and the application show them eligible to get a ballot one is mailed.

When the ballot come back the signature on the outer envelope is matched to signature on file.

The ballot is then removed from the envelope and the signature on the back of the envelope (the oath) is matched with the signature on the ballot itself.

Then and only then are the ballots that passed all those steps are scanned and counted.

Go to the SoS website and look for yourself... this is the process.

Interesting strategy, Might be a trap.
