First, ALL calibers are dangerous. And a .40 caliber is way more dangerous at 20 yards than is a .223. But you move that out to 200 yards and the math changes significantly. In fact, the .223 is now more dangerous.

Another reason they make shitty home defense weapons. For me, a shotgun is likely the best weapon for home defense, but I see the upside to some handguns as well.

Point being it depends on too many factors to speak absolutely on the matter.

Don't mind that they have directed energy weapons, biological weapons, air, land, sea dominance, and that nobody knows who you are unless they screw up as bad as WACO.... 🙃

I no longer see Doc's statements. Not that its relevant. My comments are in response to your comments. In general I find you very knowledgeable in a myriad of issues but on this issue I think you are in error in regards to some statements.

I certainly didnt make that assessment by something as silly as calling an AR 15 an assault rifle (as whether it meets the definition or not, it is commonly described as such) And that alone does NOT make someone uninformed on the entire subject.
