I posted an article earlier about how mob mentality is big today because there's almost no cost to joining a mob, since it can be done from home now (as opposed to in the past when you had to go out as a group in public) ...... but if you can get sued for libel, maybe that will calm down the online mobbing that's been going on the past few years.
