not all people, and therefore not all women, care for gifts. while our society has conditioned us to believe that such an act is equivalent to affection, it is definitely an illusion
Most people enjoy receiving gifts, which there is nothing wrong with. It is when people expect a gift, instead of appreciate them, that makes gift-giving toxic. I've gone out of my way to tell my gf straight-forward that I'm not spending a ton of money during the holidays, and she may not even get gifts for some of them. This is especially true in the future when we raise kids/want to raise them to not be material-driven/want to conserve money.
Woman generally aren’t as stoic in these matters as we are, it made my wife’s night that I got her a balloon, find the right girl and it really is the thought that counts imo

White-Pill: There was a White Baby Boom in 2014 due to colder-than-usual weather in the northern states and a government shutdown. Those didn't happen simultaneously. In 2019, we had even colder temps and a longer gov. shutdown, and they happened at the same time.
