@Crye_Salesman I have almost everything, except a helmet and Hawaiian shirt, idk what to look for in a helmet
Other than that it's double checking to see if anything small fell through the cracks
ach and ech are pretty good
My main thing is I have 2 backpacks
1 is if I have time and plan on being out for a while
2 I'm building currently, where I dont have time and its merely to get me out of where I'm at
First backpack is large and bulky
Second is compact, ideally I can take the large one, but the compact is if its life or death get out now kind of deal
How much do they run? Cause I can't drop 300 on a hemlet rn lol
@[CA] SoyBoi Should be in <#704765561430605905>.
So I've put together a little kit, using a lot of Aero Precision pieces due to the recommendation of one of you fine guys in the chat here. What do you think? I also have a stripped Aero lower I'm shipping separately to FFL dealer
Altogether I'm spending less than $600 not counting sights and attachments or if my stoner senses missed something in the build
@JackLAXXX are you saying that’s your entire list? Because you’re missing a lot
Oh nooo
Please, help me. First time assembling the whole thing myself. I have the parts for the lower, the gas tube, the BCG, charge handle..what am I missing
Not a lot
You need a muzzle device
@JackLAXXX you need a muzzle device and sights if some type. That's it. Once you get it together you can figure out how you want to setup a light and foregrip.
Oh an mags. Obviously.
Anyone know around what the torque spec is for a buffer tube on a AR, and also for a compesator on a crush washer?
Tag me so I get the notification!
Muzzle device? Well, I'm purchasing some high strength oil filters for my vehicle if that's what you're asking. Also yes, I am unsure of the sights I would like just yet.
I've so many different size threads that I need to filter oil through on my import cars. I don't even know where to start. But that's a project I'm not even going to worry about right now.
@JackLAXXX throw a flash hider in your cart and some MBUS and send
@JackLAXXX you'll still want at least a bird cage. Sights, unless you have an optic with an etched reticle you will also want irons.
Technically the torque spec for the buffer tube is 38-42 pounds. Typically people will snug it down tight until it doesn't really move, then stake the castle nut
This keeps it from backing off but you can still remove it if absolutely necessary. If you do remove it, you'll need a new end plate.
There's also a company that makes a ratcheting castle nut that doesn't require staking and can be removed, it's pretty nice.
I'm excited about my build but I feel like if I show yall imma get dragged lol
@[CA] SoyBoi so? Put your man pants on and do it anyway.
I'm just waiting for my lower 😒
@JackLAXXX forward assist*
@JackLAXXX I would just get an A2 charging handle for like 10 bucks, those strike industries one tend to snap. Also consider that you will need a barrel nut wrench and torque wrench. But overall looks like a decent parts list
Also is the barrel and handguard aero, or something that store is claiming as their own?
I'm a fan of BCM gunfighter CHs and Radian Raptor CHs
This arrived today, yeah buddy! Gonna mount it on a Nerf N-Strike Vulcan EBF-25 Dart Blaster .
Oh nice. I lke Vortex
My BCM and Aero build is getting pricy... My only concern about your .223 wylde barrel is that it's a 1/8 twist. Would probably be better off with a 18-20" if I had to guess.
> Oh nice. I lke Vortex
@Sparrow It is my second optic from them, the first being a red dot.
@[VA] JediComms My favorite from vortex is easily the spitfire 3x prism. Clean, reliable, accurate, and easy to zero.

@Soulraiser what? 🤨
I’m with Crye.
Barrel length and twist do not inherently correspond. Barrel length does not effect twist rate or make it work much better.
