As a trans person, myself I see a LOT wrong with gender identity bullshit. I don't need to "own" my transness... I just wanna be me, female. I know that'll never fully, genetically happen(this isn't Deep Space 9 after all) but to suddenly leap WAAAY over the trans thing to start pushing non-cis genderisms... Well that see s like a sneaky way to eventually disown Trans people from the opression stack-err 'scuse me "progressive stack" by "priveledgeing" them with cis-genderhood....
We can argue all day if TERFs are promoting transxerasure... When the cis-gender discussion itself is a form or Erasure by making those who transition from one sex to another something to be ridiculed for not choosing some fashion of other expression...

A trans person is /mostly/ trans-gender because, biologically, they will always be the sex they were born. They have simply transitioned into the opposing sexes accepted gender fashion... Even if they go as far as genetial reassignment.

Sweety.... in some places It takes a year, itself, for a psychiatrist to "approve" of wether or not they agree that you're trans-enough to warrant hormone replacement.... A year, or more, with hormone replacement and "living as a [sex]" to be approved, both psychologically and medically, for crotch surgery. So you can't honestly sit there and say it's not years....
You're applying one set of rules to countries who have different ones....
