Anyone read that article posted in #Library. The author is Yasmin Alibhai-brown, that is a nice anglo saxon name. When you're a byproduct of a neoliberal global world order, it's hard to take ones opinion against nationalists as unbiased.
@Belisarius its hard to imagine a foreign name equating to anything besides the migration of people. But I supposed you are right, maybe her parents just picked the name Yasmin Alibhai at random and it has nothing to do with being derived from a foreign culture.
But I guess one would first have to accept that there is a historical context to a british identity, least their is no foundation for calling anything foriegn.
Richard Spencer comes from a completely different ideology than Nick. In fact, I don't know if he actually has a salient political stance. All his beliefs seem to center around grandiose abstract concepts.
I feel like a major failing was not recognizing that rightwingers are actual political dissidents. And suffer all the trappings that dissidents go through in any banana republic. Minus outright hard power that is.
Angry white man works as a vanguard for exposing dissidents who challenge the established powers.
