Does anyone know why we regard History as empirical, yet it is not a science and more likely a lie?

History is always laden with a narrative, like art or any form of expression.
The primary form of dissent is to start with not agreeing with their history. Any counter ideas and narratives are layered upon a counter history.

The 100 years war and subsequent 30 years war were both significant events where society was entirely reorganized.

The physical artifacts that we have are given a context, when in reality we should assume we know nothing of physical artifacts and instead place them in a timeline that is actually verified.

Anyway, I'm not trying to convince you of it, rather to spread dissent and make you question history and its ancient basis more. No one knows what happened. But I do know that it has been altered.

@Nerthulas There is only one question you need to ask whether history has been subverted. Is there a strategic advantage to subverting history? Yes there is. Why would it not be subverted if the occupiers of Europe stand to gain from it strategically?

It is a point of showing that you trust academia. Trust history and their narrative and refuse to question it.
I don't have any valid points. History is correct. My argument is defeated. Finally we can go back to trusting exactly what academia says.
If there was a well rounded alternative, would it be accepted by academia? or ridiculed?

Ridicule is the norm for opinions that challenge the power structure. Even ones that are true.
The well is poisoned by grouping it with any number of conspiracy theories by calling it a conspiracy theory. We should counter by calling their ideas conspiracy theories.

I can tell it hurts to think about history as another lie. Your mind defaults by refusing to even think about history as something that could have been altered.

Everything I point out is disregarded. What would an accepted event or alteration look like?
I just think it is a earth shuddering idea to think that history can be altered that it is automatically disregarded as it hurts to even think about it.
I'm throwing my ideas out here to see what you think of them. Never claimed to be the best at defending them, perhaps I'm the worst at that. I also don't have all the best events or alterations at hand to accurately defend my ideas either. Just winging it from what I remember.
