The SKS is a surprisingly reliable firearm and still viable

2020-04-30 06:01:09 UTC

I'd honestly grab an SKS if they weren't overpriced.

2020-04-30 06:01:19 UTC

They are a reliable first rifle for the poors

2020-04-30 06:02:13 UTC

In Canada Russian tula built sks were going for about $200 but have crept up, the Norinco sks are still like 200 bucks but not as good

2020-04-30 06:02:29 UTC

Hey, that's better than U.S. prices.

2020-04-30 06:02:36 UTC

I have 4 Russian 1951 Tulas

2020-04-30 06:02:44 UTC

They're going 350 even almost 500 in some places

2020-04-30 06:03:03 UTC

Yeah I heard

2020-04-30 06:03:56 UTC

Highest you see them here is maybe 350 for a really bee's knees example

2020-04-30 06:04:16 UTC

Well at least they aren't screwing you guys out of that yet.

2020-04-30 06:04:23 UTC

Anyways, I'm going to bed. Goodnight.

2020-04-30 06:05:07 UTC

Yeah I better get to sleep also got to go to work tomorrow lol

2020-04-30 06:05:13 UTC

2020-04-30 06:05:24 UTC

Got this in the mail from Geist the other day. Saving pennies (painting house) right now so postponing a more permanent solution for my pack on my slickster. Need a $90 molle plate pocket. This was $35 after f&f shipping

2020-04-30 07:36:44 UTC

Roman makes good stuff but pls do not do that to Cryes. Thank you.

2020-04-30 07:37:26 UTC

Only pic I screencapped and couldnโ€™t remember his name or page ๐Ÿ˜‚

2020-04-30 07:38:00 UTC

You know deep down those would be dope af bmc with the Hoplite black/red/white Hawaiian print ๐Ÿ˜

2020-04-30 09:03:32 UTC

*bruh*

2020-04-30 09:03:47 UTC

No I have not Officer, and I donโ€™t have to answer your questions

2020-04-30 09:03:49 UTC

Depends on the size of course

2020-04-30 09:04:19 UTC

I'm talking about filtering fuel, friend. Not doing anything illegal with them.

2020-04-30 09:05:17 UTC

They can be modified to muffle firearms but of course that would necessitate the $200 tax stamp and all that.

2020-04-30 09:05:19 UTC

But if the fuel flow is still just as loud as unfiltered, then they aren't worth the weight. Real world use info is hard to come by

2020-04-30 09:06:38 UTC

The problem lies in the flimsier construction of a lot of these things, like a size 22 fuel line would probably be okay but a size 556 fuel line might rupture the filter nomsayin.

2020-04-30 09:08:11 UTC

Makes sense. Hadn't thought of that.

2020-04-30 09:10:57 UTC

Of course, they can also be made to be very durable and effective. Solvent trap kits work too and there are plenty of good ones available for pretty cheap but you have to go through the same process with the paperwork and $200 if you ever wanted to make it functional in that way, according to the NFA.

2020-04-30 09:11:39 UTC

I would never dream of drilling holes in a perfectly functional solvent trap.

2020-04-30 09:12:08 UTC

Not without the proper paperwork.

2020-04-30 09:12:15 UTC

Right? It just werks. Saves me money on solvents.

2020-04-30 09:12:33 UTC

Besides, I love my dog too much to pull some shit like that.

2020-04-30 10:15:21 UTC

Fuel filter? thats a funny way to say Soup

2020-04-30 10:24:20 UTC

Any one in here a fellow Big Bore AR enthusiast?

2020-04-30 10:24:51 UTC

I don't have one yet but boy do I want one in 450 bushmaster

2020-04-30 10:25:13 UTC

Whitey in my profile pic is a .450

2020-04-30 10:25:46 UTC

How do you like it

2020-04-30 10:26:14 UTC

Itโ€™s my favorite AR. She bangs.

2020-04-30 10:26:32 UTC

Ever do any hunting with it or just punch paper

2020-04-30 10:26:35 UTC

How is it finding ammo?

2020-04-30 10:27:49 UTC

Pretty easy. $30-40 for 20. I buy every box I find.

2020-04-30 10:29:08 UTC

Ive been playing with the idea of building a 458 when I co.e back state side

2020-04-30 10:29:47 UTC

I built a .458 for @Reaper67

2020-04-30 10:30:16 UTC

Not easy to find ammo

2020-04-30 10:30:46 UTC

Yea 458 isn't saami approved so a lot of ammo manufacturers won't touch it

2020-04-30 10:30:57 UTC

Hard to find reloading data too

2020-04-30 10:31:48 UTC

Thatโ€™s s why I went with .450

2020-04-30 10:32:33 UTC

I figured it, from what I seen when I make trips home, any ammo bigger than 30-06 is harder to find.

2020-04-30 10:33:30 UTC

350 legend and .450 bushmaster is pretty common

2020-04-30 10:34:14 UTC

I believe it, just never really looked for it.

2020-04-30 10:36:17 UTC

But. Everyone needs a โ€œfโ€”k youโ€ gun. .458 would definitely be it

2020-04-30 10:46:16 UTC

Yeah my thoughts exactly

2020-04-30 10:47:51 UTC

458 hamr ๐Ÿ‘Œ

2020-04-30 10:50:17 UTC

Noob question, how does recoil of rifles compare to a 12 gauge shotgun with a wooden stock?

2020-04-30 10:50:58 UTC

Depends on the rifle but most 556 ARs are barely more than 22s

2020-04-30 10:51:18 UTC

450 is close to the same recoil. Most ar calibers donโ€™t have much

2020-04-30 10:51:48 UTC

223 has minimal

2020-04-30 10:51:51 UTC

Do the big bore ARs use AR10 buffers?

2020-04-30 10:52:06 UTC

No.

2020-04-30 10:54:27 UTC

.458 SOCOM ftw, who cares if itโ€™s expensive to shoot and you canโ€™t find any pews for it 85% of the time ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

2020-04-30 10:55:12 UTC

Depending on what buffer set up you have some .223 will hardly have any recoil

2020-04-30 10:56:10 UTC

And a good qaulity and functioning muzzle device

2020-04-30 10:56:41 UTC

@Reaper67 figuring this place out?

2020-04-30 10:57:26 UTC

@American_AF working on it in my spare time. Itโ€™s much harder to do while driving than FB is lol

2020-04-30 10:57:48 UTC

Yeah. It definitely is. ๐Ÿ˜‚

2020-04-30 10:59:00 UTC

2020-04-30 11:14:33 UTC

2020-04-30 11:15:00 UTC

Every trade is covered I think

2020-04-30 11:19:25 UTC

Build me a tower and radio shack and I can equip us with a P25Trunked repeater.

2020-04-30 11:34:58 UTC

Hell yea thatโ€™s easy so as long as we have all materials needed lol

2020-04-30 11:57:54 UTC
