I will happily do it but I'm very unlikely to see it unless it's a DM.
@FLanon so, no Gillum voters yet?
Nope.
All of the people considering Gillum in the suburbs are leaners
People who are sort of low-info and don't know much about him
Not hard to convince them to reconsider to do that
how does your door knocking usually play out wordwise?
*knock knock*
*they open*
what do you say to introduce yourself
Hello, are you voting in this year's election?
so you always start off with that?
I am campaigning for Mr. Ron DeSantis who is running for Governor
so on, so forth
interesting, verbatim?
i figured you'd start off by telling them you hope their day is going well or something
Not verbatim
That's just something a bit typical
Bad to go sound robotic,
Usually the easy part is convincing them to vote against Gillum than for DeSantis
lol, are you available for vc right now
I'd like to hear how it sounds
Not atm
I'm about to go to the gym, gimme like an hour
@Julien Blanc alright, VC?
15 minutes
I am concerned that blacks I previously considered purple pilled are actually getting swept up by Gillum
Well I mean what would you expect
@Illusive Man "purple pilled"
what do you mean by that
Like red pilled but not all the way there yet
still between redpilled and bluepilled
I kind of hoped that theyโd be able to see the bigger picture rather than fixating on muh $15 an hour and muh black governor
Apparently blacks canโt see how a state dominated by progressives and Puerto Ricans would actually end badly for them
Florida Governor GE:
Andrew Gillum (D) 47% (+4)
Ron DeSantis (R) 43%

<@&414473793499693066> Reminder that it's NOT a shoe in for DeSantis. You folks need to work tooth and nail to ensure BernieBro Gillum doesn't win the governorship.
#TranniesforDesantis
BASED
@FLanon if Gillum does win...how do you spend the next four years
I don't want to consider it
I will do everything necessary to keep that from happening
@FLanon how is the Desantis Grassroots looking?
It's always looking good because of the areas I'm in
Are you more focused on Governor Race than Senate?
boomer areas and the such
Absolutely.
I am putting all of my chips for the governor race.
Anyways, next week is going to be more of a challenge for me.
I am going to go over to South Florida to some Cuban neighborhoods to try to get turnout up for DeSantis over there, lot of concentrated voters that would be particularly receptive to the anti-socialism message, as well as having a guy of some cuban heritage coming down there, they'd probably respond well to that.
Trying to put on the spic mask for me is like that guy in Texas changing his name to Beto, I'll try hard at it, but I barely know any spanish. It's not fun having to campaign that way, but we have to fight dirty. Can't afford to waste any votes.
I mean you are Hispanic, you don't have to put on a mask
I mean the mask of like knowing the same language and all
QUE PASA
oh boy this is going to be fun
Photoshop a pic of the money onto Fiedl Castro
lol
that could probably work out
*monkey
See
"This is what Florida will be like under Gillum"
"We've seen this before"
Yes
Do it
Make Flyers
Bet it could work
Thoughts?
I'm going to make one in spanish, hold on
Maybe
Very sad state of affairs that I need to make one of these, but I think it'll work.
@FLanon what do you think of this ad
I would have preferred they attack him on being self-contradictory other than taxes and healthcare. Abolishing ICE is a good peg to stick him on, delivery is too cheesy for my taste.
Overall a C+ ad.
yeah, the delivery worries me
not enough numebrs yet, but Curbelo is getting slapped silly, unlike his counterpart in TX (Will Hurd)
The media is playing cover for Gillum. They keep pushing that "monkey this up" meme; one even said that DeSantis was "comparing Gillum to a monkey." They're also saying that he's not even a democratic socialist. How can I fight these narratives?

watch out, how can you guys compete with someone like this
__Full summary of FL Ballot Measures and Voting Recommendations & Reasoning by Dillpick88:__
**Amendment 1:** Increases the amount of a home's value exempted from property tax - **Yes**
Reasoning for Yes: This gives more freedom to homeowners from property tax based on their home's value.
**Amendment 2:** Makes the cap on nonhomestead parcel (Rental apartments & Second Homes) assessment increases permanent at 10%. - **Yes**
Reasoning for Yes: This makes a cap imposed by voters in 2008 permanent. This limits the amount a non-homestead tax parcel can increase. This limits the amount a property owner can be taxed in a short period of time for their second property.
**Amendment 3:** Provide voters with the right to decide whether to authorize casino gambling in Florida through citizen-initiated ballot measures. - **Yes**
Reasoning for Yes: This gives the right to legalize casino gambling in different areas of the state to voters, thereby giving individual citizens more freedom to govern themselves.
**Amendment 4:** Restores right to vote for most felons after completion of their sentences. - **NO**
Reasoning for No: This would allow released felons (Statistically democrat) to vote. They forfeited their right to decide on issues that affect them when they committed a felony, and that right should stay forfeited.
**Amendment 5:** Raise requirement to raise taxes to 2/3 of the Florida Legislature - **Yes**
Reasoning for Yes: Taxation should be limited, and this helps to achieve that goal.
**Amendment 6:** Adds Marsy's law (Rights of Victims) to constitution, increases forced judicial retirement age from 70 to 75, and would require judges to interpret law themselves instead of relying on executive agencies to do it for them. **Yes**
Reasoning for Yes: Most importantly requires judges to actually interpret the laws they're looking at, instead of going by an administrative agency's interpretation (basically requires them to do their job).
**Amendment 10:** Prohibits counties from abolishing certain officesโsheriff, tax collector, property appraiser, supervisor of elections, and clerk of the circuit courtโand requiring elections for these offices. The amendment also requires the legislature to create a State Department of Veterans Affairs, creates a state Office of Domestic Security & Counter Terrorism, and change the convention of the legislature closer to the first of the year (Second week in January) in even-numbered years (2018, 2020, 2022, etc). **Yes**
Reasoning for Yes: These offices are essential to the function of counties, and the election of these offices gives citizens the freedom to decide their government.
**Amendment 12:** Prohibits public officials from lobbying for compensation while in office and six years thereafter. **Yes**
Reasoning for Yes: Public officials are meant to do their jobs, and leave their financial interests at home.
**Amendment 13:** Prohibits the placing of bets on dog races (including greyhound) races. This ballot measure does not ban dog racing outright, and greyhound tracks can still operate under the condition that bets are not placed. **Yes**
Reasoning for Yes: This prohibits a practice that has mostly gone out of style in Florida; These tracks would not be shut down, so the economic interests of the greyhound industry would likely be balanced through entertainment measures. Alabama still allows betting on greyhound races, as well.
__Note:__ Amendments 7, 8, 9, and 11 were struck by the Florida Supreme Court from being on the ballot.
why would we ever vote No for 4 just because felons vote Dem? hmmmm
also, they served their time so...
Dumbfuck
this doesn't make any sense
This would flip the state permanently
The presidency would never go for the Republicans if that passed and became law
If that law was in place in 2016, Hillary would have won by 2 points
does it really matter? we shouldn't do this for political gain
@Whale we should
it's a doggy dog world
It is for political gain.
This is 100% for political gain
...
You either win or be crushed.
let's put it this way
we live in a political landscape where if you don't do things for political gain, you lose
simple as that
you can't show up with a knife to a gunfight
we should adjust our positions instead of these stupid tactics
like what
Outta here
I warned him for being too shifty
He was acting like a leftist
"we should soften our positions to appease new voters instead of defending our base"
okay, who invited the RNC consultant
>soften positions and alienate base
yeah, he got kicked
Banned
changing your positions just means you are a career politician, aka liar
people want honesty even before policy
^
people definitely disagree with trump a lot but they really like his honesty
if you flip flop at the change of a demographic you're john mccain
^
don't mean to disrespect the guy's service but his constant flipping near the end had me furious
lol i hate when people are like "the gop needs to change to get non-white votes"
^
im like nah the people need to change not the ideollogy
we just need to show them that we're actually helping them
if it does change it should be natural, like new people having different ideas, not same people flip flopping
if they still don't like our policies, oh well, sucks for them.
lol we just need to get black people on our side
it will happen
the only reason democrats are keeping votes is because their base is often ignorant to a change in income because they don't work.
"wym income? the government is paying me to live"
nah dems get votes cause media is biased and is a libtard factory
It's not media honestly
People like media stations that align with their Political Views
Like Liberals CNN and Republicans Fox News
All Big Media is trash
>Criminals should be allowed to vote for Sheriff bc it favors Democrats.
This is RED STORM not BLUE STORM.
That said
You should at least try to make apolitical justifications.
"Vote against allowing felons to vote to defend the Republican Party!" does not work on anyone who isn't already a supporter.
Anyone else here from Orange?
I need someone to reassure me that the libcuck wonโt take the county sheriffs office
I used to live in Orlando lol
Did you grow up there
No I grew up on the Treasure Coast
I just live here now because public transportation and good schools
This is a major battleground though, Puerto Rico has basically colonized Osceola and East Orange County
And all the people they sent are socialists
Gillum is winning in the polls.
RIP
It ain't over till it's over, especially with someone like Gillum and a state like Florida
Just to show y'all the unreliability of polls
What's funny is that the polls actually show DeSantis doing better with Hispanics than with whites.
Seriously?
that meme poll with gillum up by 6 points has him winning hispanics by a significant margin
Here's another one that has him leading in hispanics more than whites: https://poll.qu.edu/florida/release-detail?ReleaseID=2565
I don't see how Gillum is supposed to be winning if he's losing whites and hispanics. The black population in Florida is about the national average. Methinks using census data and 2016 turnout overstates expected black turnout, since mid-terms have lower minority turnout, and black voting rates are abysmal relative to their portion of the population.
there's also the fact that florida's population has grown dramatically since 2010
He's winning Cubans according to SurveyUSA.
But non-Cuban Hispanics are like 77% Gillum
Gillum fucking Cucked!?!?
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Do you guys think the GOP has a chance to hold FL-27?
Isn't that Curbelo's district?
If so, yes.
I think we'll retain it.
Cuban rep in a Hispanic district where polling strongly favours Curbelo.
No, it's Ileana Ros-Lehtinen's district
Cuberlo is the 26th
Everyone is saying FL-27 is Solid Dem.... but the polling doesn't really bear that out
and the GOP candidate Salazar is leagues better than the Democratic candidate Shalala
AH
No, that's a loss.
Shalala somehow doesn't know Spanish, despite this district being based around Miami, she's also almost 77, and last was in politics as HHS secretary under the Clinton administration
And i'm happy it is.
She co-sponsored the recent 58 billion dollar aid package to Israel atop the largesse they already receive.
who did?
+ she's a turncoat who we're better off losing
Salazar?
Ros-Lehtinen
she isn't running again
Oh, I see.
it's an open seat
But no, I don't think we will.
Maria Salazar is the Republican running
Ros-Lehtinen was a very moderate Republican.
Salazar also is similarly moderate
I think there is some potential for a shocker here
just like WV-03 could theoretically elect a Democrat, I think FL-27 could return another Republican
@[Lex] polling is apparently showing Salazar (the Republican) up against Shalala
Salazar is apparently some well known hispanic TV host over there
FL-27 is a tossup and FL-26 is tilt R
Weโre so lucky to have gotten Salazar. Probably one of the best recruits this cycle.
Young Kim in CA-39 was pretty good as well
@reagent True. The fact that she is managing to lead like she is a huge testament to that.
Iโve been rather confident of us holding CA-39 since she was nominated.
๐ | **Yellowhammer leveled up!**
@FLanon I wonder how many other Floridians are like these redditfags
Hopefully enough
Florida is very conservative on taxes, also guns, but to a lesser extent. Shit like this doesn't look good. Spread on social media.
<@&414473793499693066> spread this far and wide, friends
I voted for Greg Steube for House Representative and Bruce Nathan for Governor
@Julien Blanc A LOT of reddit is like this. Lots of frontpage reddit threads about guns turn out this way.
And yeah most people I know like our gun rights
The Orlando subreddit generalizes everyone on there as a liberal and it's terrible
They were literally talking how "we're" going to do a protest if Rosenstein gets fired, I said "we?" and got downvoted....
older hispanics?
I wonder how they usually vote in FL
I trust quite a few of those are cubans
Yep.
Nelson is winning the non-Cuban Hispanic vote by a 20+% margin. SurveyUSA separated them.
They dumped some bullshit polling giving gillum/nelson an over 5 point lead. Anyone else notice that these obviously bad polls appear at the same time? It happens whenever we start doing well in the generic ballot too.
<@&414473793499693066> Uh Oh
Looks like Gillum is getting that HillDawg Bump
lol she has a lower favorability than Trump
to be fair I'm skeptical of favorability ratings either way
> Getting a Presidential Candidate who lost your state to help get you to campaign
Bold strategy
I'm pretty sure they campaigned for Hillary's brother back in the 90s in FL for Senate and he lost every county, including Miami-Dade and Broward. Granted, it was '94 and the guy had jack shit in terms of campaigning resources, but I mean it goes to show, Hillary's support doesn't mean jack shit.
It's more likely to hurt him than help, to be quite honest.
Nelson isn't voting for Kavanaugh. This will hurt him among certain constituencies.
He may as well certify Scott's victory.
Hopefully that leads to general dem depression in turnout which hurts Gillum as well
bad move
why do you consider that to be a bad move
Itโs Florida, not North Dakota. The majority of the state probably leans against Kavanaugh
>The majority of the state probably leans against Kavanaugh
why would you say that
also, Rick Scott needs to signal that he will be a clear, distinct, alternative to Nelson
so why not convey the idea that he'd be a reliable vote for the likes of Kavanaugh
Florida is not a red state, and almost no democrats support Kavanaugh
Idiot
Only like 25% of people actually believe the claims
Those are all probably from people who already opposed Kavanaugh
Generally, people want SC nominees passed
In all of the ads Bill Nelson has put up for re-election, he's put "one of the most independent senators" near the end every time.
In swing states, attacking these Senators on the Kavanaugh issue is a good plan.
Especially if there ends up being an FBI investigation, it seems that he's innocent, and they still vote no.
The media likes to spread this idea that republicans can't win on their own, but democrats are all 100% united and just have to show up to win. They like to push this to encourage republicans to cuck out. The truth is that most republicans support Kavanaugh, and the democrats who aren't totally insane don't like how democratic senators are behaving.
It's hard to tell, because the media and people of influence are all calling Kavanaugh a rapist and trying to make the republicans look bad.
You say "the democrats who aren't totally insane"... That's only maybe 25% of them, tops.
But probably much less
@lancerelliott {CARTHAGE} Who are you voting for on November 6
Damn I didn't hear anything about this. https://www.tampabay.com/florida-politics/buzz/2017/12/08/andrew-gillum-donald-trump-should-be-impeached-now/
Not sure if it's me being uninformed or republicans being shit at disseminating info this year.
It's a skill we desperately need to build
