My boyfriend is having a heart Cath done to check the status of his heart..he had a stint installed a while back, so they're checking on the status of that..he had a heart transplant when he was 4, so they keep a real close eye on him .we have to come here multiple times a year.

Well, we've been here since 6am.. it's 3:35pm now and I surmise we'll be here for another few hours. The actual procedure takes about half an hour to an hour usually...usually takes most of the day though because of all the waiting..we left home at 4am..takes about 2 hours or more to drive here.

They're basically maintenance and they check to see if anything gets worse..he's already had one stint in, so they keep a close eye on the rest of his arteries so that he doesn't have a massive heart attack or something from a scar tissue blockage or otherwise and monitor the levels of rejection for his heart.
