So, this is an interesting problem. How to balance the fact that a pregnant woman basically cannot work for more or less at least a year to be safe, with keeping birth rates sustainable. I mean, I guess a negative birth rate would fix stagnant wages because suddenly jobs will be plentiful and your need to compete for labor more.
