Freedom of Speech is sure not for Stupid people who don't understand their power.
But how do we know who is stupid? Who is not?
We can't
We just have to keep on doing research and study.
Funny, it took me to study economy and biology to see why people like Capitalism and deny hate speech.
But it took me nothing to understand why people love Socialism and hate speech.
Then the Furry who played game all day hiding his face behind the mask tells me that I am stupid
I'm not triggered. I just disappointed. All my life, I believe that people like them might have ideas that are so novice to understand.
But now they are another NPCs.
With me being a Russian bot, emotionless.

Quiet weekend
Happy Monday all
The EU is evil and should be broken up
lol
they just wanna be a EU colony if they wanna
Proof that Trump Derangement Syndrome is a thing: "18.9k tweets" about a fucking typo president cheeto made https://twitter.com/hashtag/SmockingGun
Yea its ridiculous
Like please focus on making ur party better than focusing on a typo
Yeah no shit
Hello fellow free thinkers, how did the weekend in france turn out?
***33400 TWEETS***
Sorry
Leftist is dying from its own stupor
Leftism
It's amazing how native dem voters defend their Trump hatred. Then again, #CNN takes them strait from fake news to football, just like the Romans did with their bread and circuses. Football the way CNN uses it is a very effective red herring.
HAHAHA, President Cheeto
Mr. Tangerine
Although I learned it's like that because a condition he has in his skin.
I can't remember the name though
what is up with everyone hating on gavin mcinnes lol
gavin was altogether too willing to embrace violence
so this was inevitable
hate gavin? no - just don't care
ah
but i thought in the proud boys scandal it was antifa being violent, not the proud boys?
sure, but public opinion doesn't work that way - never has
so
you just dont care that he was lied about into oblivion?
was he? I have no idea
a friend of mine had this conversation with him years ago
he wasn't worried about it

possibility of protest right crackdown by the EU?
Isn't that the riot act?
Oh, that's a UK thing, not an EU one.
If you were to write an open letter stating your stance on freedom of speech on the internet, what would you include?
That any group that wishes to censor everyone else is going down the road of Facism and will be tempted to embrace NAZI tendencies.
OK. What does censorship look like in practice? What precisely are you for and against when it comes to speech?
```"Rome cut off the heads of Christians and they continued to reappear one way or another. Something similar happens with Marxists."
-Pinochet.```
```"Now it cannot be denied that the only way one can offer effective resistance to violent assaults is by violence. Against the weapons of the Bolsheviks, weapons must be used in reprisal, and it would be a mistake to display weakness before murderers. No liberal has ever called this into question. What distinguishes liberal from Fascist political tactics is not a difference of opinion in regard to the necessity of using armed force to resist armed attackers, but a difference in the fundamental estimation of the role of violence in a struggle for power. The great danger threatening domestic policy from the side of Fascism lies in its complete faith in the decisive power of violence. In order to assure success, one must be imbued with the will to victory and always proceed violently. This is its highest principle. What happens, however, when one's opponent, similarly animated by the will to be victorious, acts just as violently? The result must be a battle, a civil war. The ultimate victor to emerge from such conflicts will be the faction strongest in number. In the long run, a minority โ even if it is composed of the most capable and energetic โ cannot succeed in resisting the majority. The decisive question, therefore, always remains: How does one obtain a majority for one's own party? This, however, is a purely intellectual matter. It is a victory that can be won only with the weapons of the intellect, never by force. The suppression of all opposition by sheer violence is a most unsuitable way to win adherents to one's cause. Resort to naked force โ that is, without justification in terms of intellectual arguments accepted by public opinion โ merely gains new friends for those whom one is thereby trying to combat. In a battle between force and an idea, the latter always prevails."
-Ludwig von Mises.```
Heil Hydra.
Embracing ideas such as Blasphomy laws are bad. The argument is that if you can not critizie ideas, then we can not have open conversations, and to say that some ideas are absolutely off limits because it offends groups means there can never be healthy conversations.
Who wants to hear my unpopular opinion of African Americans?
Aren't all opinions of African Americans unpopular?
"Objective truth is impossible to achieve in the social sciences, so we should just focus on making propaganda"
"The social scientists have only used the cognitive function, in various ways. The point, however, is to use the manipulative function."
https://youtu.be/oCaCrWzFPYY
@halfthink is there a timestamp for those quotes you can help me with?
Just paraphrasing the conclusion of the speech.
Soros' argument, which he takes from Karl Popper, that empiricism is unable to achieve objective truth in the social sciences is correct, but he assumes empiricism is the only means of obtaining knowledge about anything. Geometry and Math are not empirical sciences, but no one denies their objectivity (other than postmodernists). Ludwig von Mises solved this issue with the social sciences in his book, Human Action by deducing universal laws from an axiomatic starting position.

Hey @Timcast have you ever thought of trying to start something like a trade association for creators? It seems like creators banding together is the only thing that gives platforms like Youtube, Twitter, and Patreon pause. In this current spate of deplatforming, Patreon especially seems worried about creators working together.
If you could come up with something like a set of shared principles in an open letter, you could as a whole become a force not to be trifled with.
At least it would give you a starting point for future collective action.
A trade organization of a few dozen creators would have a lot more clout with platforms that individuals, and might have some hope of getting policies changed. Or at the very least make them think twice about fucking with members arbitrarily.
You know a lot of people across Youtube and elsewhere, and you're seen as a level-headed, non-controversial, middle-of-the-road kind of guy. While you might not be the person to take charge of such an effort, maybe you could get the ball rolling.
There's the "Intellectual Dark Web", and while the people associated with it are precisely the sort of people I'm talking about they don't have the sort of statement of principles or formal group affiliation which could be used to actually lobby platforms or defend members. A creator trade association would have to be a little more formal and close-knit in order to have any sort of negotiating clout.
That just sounds like communism with extra steps.
Who here has autism and wants to weaponize it?
Somebody should go find clips of Jack Conte saying naughty words and publish them everywhere, get him removed from CEO of his own company
and when I say naughty, I mean slurs
individualism is autism
in a good way
Here's my unpopular opinion of African Americans:
One of the troubles of urban black culture stem from the community's demonization of formal education, it being labelled as "White people shit". This is usually paired with the pervasive mindset that the only paths to success are through sports, rap music, and criminal activity, particularly in the case of gang violence. The enabling of this mindset from a very young age actively discourages aspiring black children from pursuing other means of success like academics, trades, or crafts. The only effective way to combat this is to encourage black children to break from the dangerously narrow "hood mentality" and harmful urban culture that black people have locked themselves into for so many years.
The only unpopular part of that opinion is blaming the blacks for what the welfare state would have done to any community.
French are fucking retarded

Le ~~yellow vest~~ commie manifesto.
they can't even imagine the world without a welfare-state
Why should the taxpayer have to pay for the public sector? That's the government's responsibility.
yeah... the government can just print the money and pay for services, n'est-ce pas? ๐
Yeah, why tax when you can just redistribute the wealth by printing more money?
Seriously, the solution to all their problems is simply to end central banking. They are protesting because of constant inflation and wage stagnation.
Wouldn't it be awesome if the government was so small that the money they print is enough to cover for the costs without taxes?
๐ค
No, the ability for government to print money only guarantees the constant expansion of state power.
Inflation is just taxation without legislation.
```That socialism has displaced liberalism as the doctrine held by the great majority of progressives does not imply mean that people had forgotten the warnings of the great liberal thinkers of the past about the consequences of collectivism. It has happened because they were persuaded of the very opposite of what these men had predicted. The extraordinary thing is that the same socialism that was not only early recognised as the gravest threat to freedom, but quite openly began as a reaction against the liberalism of the French Revolution, gained general acceptance under the flag of liberty. It is rarely remembered now that socialism in its beginnings was frankly authoritarian. The French writers who laid the foundations of modern socialism had no doubt that their ideas could be put into practice only by a strong dictatorial government. To them socialism meant an attempt to "terminate the revolution" by a deliberate reorganisation of society on hierarchical lines, and the imposition of a coercive "spiritual power". Where freedom was concerned, the founders of socialism made no bones about their intentions. Freedom of thought they regarded as the root-evil of nineteenth-century society, and the first of modern planners, Saint Simon, even predicted that those who did not obey his proposed planning boards would be "treated as cattle".
-F.A Hayek, The Road to Serfdom.```
can you imagine me being too tired to read that entire paragraph but still being extremely interested in it
There's a cartoon version of the whole book.
The French and most of the west EU countries are force fed socialist propaganda for almost a century. So we can dream of educating them now. But if they cut the "economic" crap out of those demands and leave the anti-immigration only, that still would be better than nothing...
They only need 1 demand: denationalise money!
```"Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four. If that is granted, all else follows."
-George Orwell, Nineteen Eighty-Four.```
and what? have a "Fed" like private institution to control that?
Literally the opposite of what I am saying.
An institution like the fed can't exist in a free market.
Neither can fractional reserve banking.
which is pretty similar
so "gold" money?
or crypto?
Whatever the market decides.
How do you think money emerged in the first place, government decree?
sure, but and how do you propose to transfer now from gov. controlled money to that of the free market? Reset everything?
Violent revolution seems necessary, the French are halfway there, but chances are they'll fuck it up.
ah... ok, now I see
I don't think the violence is the way. In the end the toughest force will win and in most cases it ends badly... I thought more of like introducing better "money" that can outcompete with the govt. money ... we just need the way to block gov. from meddling with it by legal means
Well, cypto does potentially make violence avoidable, or at least will minimise the extent to which it will be used.
but on the technical side of cryto: it really struggles now to overcome some serious limitations (like the replication of transaction chain). We need better crypto and that's what the smart poeple should focus on now.
Yep, there are even ways to access the internet without an ISP.
Well, without paying an ISP, you get the free rider problem with that.
...in which country?
I haven't tested the tech, and I've only heard a really basic explanation of how it works. Still only used by hackers.
I'm really interested in it ๐
any hints on how to dig deeper on this?
I wouldn't trust it.
I'll try to find where I found it.
There's a link in the description. This is literally all I've heard about it.
Again, I wouldn't trust it. Use at your own risk.
Ah
France, never fucking change.
That's the real yellow vest manifesto right there.
Crypto is alive and well. We are just in a buy cycle
@.B then you either didn't read past the first chapter or did not understand it at all
this is really about what are the ways to improve it
He pointed to exchanges and mining being a problem
and how important crypto will be in providing the better money for all
Tbh, I'm on mobile and that article is full of shit. I don't even mean the content. I mean his way of writing
He is full of rethorical questions just to fill the article on that character count
it is really not a criticism of crypto. if you see it this way, please remove your bias
he pointed out the choke points, how is this not a true? there is no easy way to exchange currencies without 3rd party support
Nop, he pointed to problems that were solved years ago
The block chain market is so diverse right now that some flavors of it have different objectives completely
But immune to most of the problems he listed
crypto is the future don't trust the media shills. Their paychecks are all in fiat.
Crypto is already here. It's not going anywhere
However, that depends on what it mean to you
It will probably not replace fiat
fiat is cancer
then how the mining problem is solved?
But it has its uses
PoS
PoS has been around for a while now
they need to replace fiat, otherwise it's all useless
Hhahahhahhahahha
Are you that new to Blockchain?
nothing will change really
Blockchain isn't money, it's a tech
I've been into Bitcoin since 2011 btw
If you think Blockchain is about replacing fiat, you are 3 years behind on the news
perhaps, so please enlighten me
Google it mate, you have a lot to read
Contracts, lightening network, PoS, etc
Etherium alone will keep you busy for months
There's also ways to exchange crypto without exchanges, if that's your focus
I know that bilions are poured into the systems based on crypto today, but if it won't impact the life of everyone then it's just some another technology, like lasers or whatever
in a way that will change the whole game
Ripple is used in banking nowadays
Have you been living under a rock?
and replacing the top-down fiat currencty is the only way to do it
Hey, stay with your way of thinking, why should I waste my time anyway?
otherwise, yeah, we can just start murdering ourself, following the French
because you are trying to convince me that crypto is the best the way it is now and does not need to be something bigger
Anything is better than fiat.
I was really hoping this is the replacement of the needed otherwise revolution
If you aren't into crypto now, you will be eventually. You are just missing the biggest revolution in the last decades
Keep your opinion. No problem being against crypto. But being against it while uninformed its just stupid
omg ... do you even understand what am I saying? I am not against crypto!!!
I was interested in crypto in 2008 as a curiosity, but yeah I missed the progress too busy in some other stuff. But I'm not close-minded if that's what you sugges, perhaps need to read more as you suggested, thanks anyway. I see no point in discussing it any further with you now.
You are linking into articles about problems that don't even exist for 3 years now
Ok, I get it, though this article was in the context of the money at large, that's why it got me interested
Also... Bitcoin was created in 2009 you idiot
At least learn how to lie
i have a wallet from that time
I would be interested in some tl;dr about crypto sometime. I know the very general technical concept but so far it's appeared very niche.
as a proof
and don't call me names please
And as far as floating currency, I'll point out that the world we live in was mostly borne of a fiat economy.
yes, you are right it must have been later, just checking the wallet, need to convert it first
Including the entire tech revolution that birthed blockchain
*the world we live in was mostly borne of a fiat economy.* sounds like
I'm not saying that one generation doesn't beget the next which moves the world forward
If kids didn't outdo thier parents we'd still be hunter gatherers
But I'm also saying don't totally disregard the shoulders you stand on
What is your point?
I never mentioned PC
And I am a capitalist
*>don't totally disregard the shoulders you stand on*
Just reinforcing your point
Ah
@.B the transaction I have is from 02.12.2010 https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/3b4bccf3497dc382c70cc378899ba72fff0d9a65095a24fc5657c2fb48bfeb03 so I have 0.05BTC - I didn't lie , human memory is flawed, I've messed the year
It's still pretty sad that you didn't make serious money with it
yeah, I know
A TX in the end of 2010 isn't that impressive though
the funny part is, it was given away, i just got it from subscribing somewhere
oof
BTC was worth less than 30 cents by the end of 2010
Prolly, Im not here to boast, but perhaps discuss how to find an alternative to the bloody revolution. Status quo is not gonna last, we are on a path to orwellian future. How long people such as Tim are gonna last? One of the way of changing things around here is to change the game by destroying centralized money. Could crypto be considered as the key factor?
I hate crypto bc it made high end graphics cards pricing go through the roof last year >:C
