@Jesco White Yes, me too eating a more plant based diet. Good thing I love soy milk. I make my own so tofu and yogurt wouldn't be hard, just have to plunge right in and try it. It gives me a feeling of satisfaction that I can make my own instead of buying it. I love homemade things best. Thank you again. Good info to start looking for the Daiya cheese. โค

Field roast is another great brand. Everything they make is excellent. Highly recommend. SO GOOD!

2018-09-20 01:39:25 UTC

Your welcome hun and that's great that you make stuff homeade. That's definitely the way to go for so many reasons! @Anessa QT

2018-09-20 01:57:58 UTC

@Jesco White I've never heard of Field Roast. I'm going to check them out now. I'm in the middle of California, small town, not much here but I wouldn't change it (except for the politics). The only reason I make my own is that's what I was taught by my grandparents, everything homemade first. Store bought if you can't help it. Smart Italians. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I make it because it's like art and I love art, so it's creating something from a basic ingredient. You are so helpful. I enjoy reading your tips. Thank you so much.

2018-09-20 02:05:24 UTC

You are welcome! Very smart upbringing! Im in Indiana but live in the city, so I have alot of options thank goodness! I like cooking too. I liked watchin my parents cook when I was a kid, and they'd let me make things for them! Good times!

@Jesco White The big cities are at least an hour drive away, but they aren't big if you live in the populated areas, but they are big to me. Walmart has the Field Roast cheese that I'm going to try. I've missed a simple cheese sandwich so this will be something to look forward to. Now I'll be dreaming of cheese slices. LoL As a kid, we only got to watch our Grandmother cook, so to learn we had to watch and remember. She cooked for the whole family every Sunday, all my cousins were there, too. It was like a Holyday every Sunday.I miss everyone so much, they have all passed on. I was the youngest of all, it's been hard. I have one brother and one sister left from a big family. I don't have kids so it's my cats, dog are my kids. Yes, agree with you, those were good times. โค

Now you have a Q family.๐Ÿ’

2018-09-20 07:19:36 UTC

@Anessa QT and @Jesco White be careful with soy products. I have to get to sleep but can go into it more another time if youโ€™re interested. Field Roast is great IF you have no wheat or gluten issues. Daiya has some good items and so does Follow Your Heart. We love their soy free vegenaise.

2018-09-20 13:10:04 UTC

Yes i love the veganaise. I'd be interested about the soy. I've heard good and bad

2018-09-20 21:34:56 UTC

@lmbd You are so sweet, you brought tears to my eyes...in a good way. โ™ฅ

2018-09-20 21:40:25 UTC

@MamaLana Sourdough The only soy I eat is real soy beans: soy milk, tofu. I've heard the soy protein isolates are bad for you so I don't eat that. I don't eat the fake meats...they don't appeal to me. I mostly eat quinoa and beans. I have wheat and mainly gluten issues for sure. I can't eat dairy, gluten, sesame allergy, or pork, eggs, and beef is hard for me to digest so I do without all of those. Never tried veganaise, I make my own no egg mayonnaise.

2018-09-21 01:38:08 UTC

First batch of Soy Yogurt (I'll call it Joygurt) is started. I used 32 ounces of EdenSoy plain soymilk, 1/2 packet of a Bulgarian culture, shook it up in the carton and poured into the large bowl of the yogurt maker I bought for 16 dollars, it's a Greek Yogurt maker but I doubt I'll use the strainer unless it's very liquid. I'll let it culture for 10-12 hours and see how it goes. This is so exciting. ๐Ÿ˜œ

2018-09-21 05:22:21 UTC

The thing about soy is that itโ€™s an estrogen receptor. I recently heard a woman say that soy helps her with hot flashes. So thereโ€™s that. Personally, IF I buy any tofu, it must be sprouted and organic, but we just donโ€™t use it. Plus hubby is allergic to it, so we donโ€™t exactly miss it. Soy was very hard on my digestive system- in any form. I imagine since youโ€™re culturing it, itโ€™s probably easier on your system. Sounds yummy either way!

2018-09-21 14:22:48 UTC

soy for general use should be fermented first

2018-09-21 14:24:02 UTC

it's not ment to be available as unfermented food source, which is why we have the soy-boy problem

2018-09-22 06:15:07 UTC

Anyone here on carnivore or Ketogenic? Very healing

2018-09-22 07:03:32 UTC

@JGrimez Yes, we are on a ketogenic diet. Good for losing weight.

2018-09-22 07:06:02 UTC

@MamaLana Sourdough - We are very allergic to soy in any form. It causes internal inflammation and swollen feet. Our feet would swell so badly that we had difficulty walking. Yes, this is a mild form of anaphalysis, so we cannot have any more soy. Soy allergies are often associated with bean/pea/peanut/legume allergies.

2018-09-22 14:33:27 UTC

@Xenios2011 interesting association- my hubby became allergic as an adult (as far as we know but imho, it was probably low level/underlying since he was a kid) to peanuts and walnuts. A few years later, heโ€™s now also allergic to ALMONDS and predictably, soy. I did not expect the almond allergy though. Just tells me that even the organic stuff has been contaminated (the crops). Too many people have b come allergic to too many things. I believe thatโ€™s part of the problem with vaccines as well - too much poison for our bodies.

2018-09-22 14:48:09 UTC

mamalana. if he is allergic to almonds, he might also be allergic to stone fruits. My daughter is allergic to fresh peaches, plums, almonds(but not other nuts) peas, birch, but can eat all of that if it is cooked(aside from birch ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

2018-09-22 15:08:44 UTC

Peas... yikes...

2018-09-22 15:09:41 UTC

@Xenios2011 @Dustin Nemos do we have any way of creating a referral list for holistic/biological/fm dentists? Not to be publicly posted, but โ€œcirculatedโ€ to those in need?

2018-09-22 15:11:59 UTC

Itโ€™s going to be similar to vaccine issues on a lower level - the ADA and companies like Colgate-Palmolive and Proctor & Gamble are HUGE and very attached to their incomes.

2018-09-22 21:27:14 UTC

@Dustin Nemos @MamaLana Sourdough Do an Internet search via duckduckgo.com for a replay of the Webinar on dental health, root canals, amalgam fillings, and the link to cancer. I will try to search for any links. It was a while ago ... possibly in the Spring of 2018. It most likely will be edited and a new Webinar produced in 2019. Mike Adams of Natural News and the producer of The Truth About Cancer were involved in this Webinar.

2018-09-22 21:33:43 UTC

If we want to survive and thrive, we gotta watch the food we eat, the food we feed our dogs and cats (hint: avoid kibble and canned foods), the water we drink (hint: use a good water purifier), the personal health care we use (hint: avoid all shampoos. conditioners, tooth pastes, mouth wash, dental care products) , the air we breathe (hint: get an air purifier) and the doctors we consult.

2018-10-01 14:55:38 UTC

This is a MUST to watch if you are concerned about the heath of everyone. Best info Iโ€™ve ever heard on why we are all so sick. The Molecular Biochemist interviewed is very credible

Since the C60 is out of stock for powder in USA, I will place an order for 25 grams @ 60$ per/gm. The supplier has good reviews and in business for 7 years. Anyone tried this source yet, from China? It does come with a CofA, however I would like to send a sample to an outside lab before using, so any ideas on testing labs avaiable would be most helpful?

2018-10-04 18:58:43 UTC

@oneofhis Mike Adams of Natural News has testing lab

@hitchhiker have you ever been to Dr. Schulzeโ€™s shop? Not sure if itโ€™s still in Marina Del Rey, but I used to go in there....decades ago! Lol!

2018-10-05 17:59:35 UTC

@MamaLana Sourdough no , but will try when Iโ€™m in the area ... been using his products for years though, and I trust him

safer option than cigarettes = vaping. I've done a lot of research on it, ask me about the biased fake studies against vaping.

2018-10-09 05:16:14 UTC

I don't vape, but I would advise if you do to get naturally flavored/organic ones unless you want to inhale VOCs. On that note, I hope Trump has the EPA and FDA finally serve our needs, including banning laundry detergents and soaps containing harmful chemicals, or at the very least to match the standards found in Europe, and to relax regulations such as that found for raw milk based cheese, namely brie and raw milk should be legalized nationally and mandatory vaccines abolished by any state, including California.

2018-10-09 14:28:29 UTC

diabetics can't vape, it raises their blood sugars

2018-10-10 04:51:04 UTC

@Springjack there's a lot more VOC's in the air you breathe and in cigarettes than there is in vaping http://www.ecigarette-research.org/research/index.php/whats-new/whatsnew-2015/230-sp3

2018-10-10 04:52:06 UTC

i didn't like that vaping was being referred to as aerosol though, aerosol is under pressure like in a can, a spray, vaping is neither of those things

2018-10-13 19:26:33 UTC

yes we need to network among ourselves about good doctors and dentists not to make targets of them, I only know a good dentist in DFW area, don't knoe any doctors I really trust, all trained by big pharma?

Research indicates that turmeric may help mitigate the growth of MRSA superbugs โ€“ NaturalNews.com

https://www.naturalnews.com/2018-10-14-turmeric-mitigate-the-growth-of-mrsa-superbugs.html

2018-10-15 11:40:16 UTC

Curcumin, the active ingredient in Turmeric , is only about 5% in the turmeric root. The curcumin 95% is commercially available. It is one of the best natural anti-inflammation nutrients around.

2018-10-19 10:29:22 UTC

Canola oil is poison.

2018-10-19 10:32:09 UTC

Ok @Gambit Mutant just because the air we breathe is full of VOCs โ€œmore than vape containsโ€ I fail to see how that makes vaping safe? Because adding to that voc laden air makes it worse. IMHO

2018-10-19 10:34:09 UTC

Vaping breaks it down to vapors which allow further penetration into your system. Just my opinion but I definitely donโ€™t want my child around someone vaping just because it appears to be less smokey than a stinky cigarette.

2018-10-22 06:42:09 UTC

I am not quite sure where this belongs. It seems to hit on a few areas; health technologies, suppression of information...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Skg3lO1wtxk

2018-10-22 07:23:23 UTC

@MamaLana Sourdough I don't condone underage smoking, vaping, drinking, or drug use. I've done a lot of research on vaping, I'm able to debunk any biased study that's funded by big cigarette companies backed with the real facts about vaping.

2018-10-25 06:26:05 UTC

@Gambit Mutant it was at a Catholic funded shelter for pregnant women (homeless, or ex cons/rehab). It was classes they did for the women to educate them on the health hazards of smoking cigarettes in particular and vaping was included in it. From a biological/physiological perspective, I cannot find anything that would indicate that vaping is safe.

2018-10-26 02:22:51 UTC

@MamaLana Sourdough Vaping is the much safer option compared to cigs that's for damn sure. The UK government and UK doctors encourage smokers to switch to vaping as the 95% safer option because their government accepts the non biased research studies... meanwhile in the US, the gov doesn't accept those studies because there's too much tax revenue in cigarettes. They were most likely taught misinformation about vaping at that Catholic funded shelter, biased studies that are funded by big cigarette companies. Examples include popcorn lung, which was blamed on diacetyl. the harvard study proved diacetyl was present in e liquid, but never actually linked it to popcorn lung.

2018-10-26 02:23:01 UTC

@MamaLana Sourdough Plus diacetyl has been banned in all e liquids in the US. And there's over 700 times more diacetyl in a cigarette than youll find in any e liquid... so why aren't the cig smokers getting popcorn lung? That same biased study claimed formaldehyde was present when vaping... but to get formaldehyde they had to super heat the cotton while dry hitting the cotton after all the e liquid was vaped up. I vape at around 105-115 watts, even 200 watts is too hot for me, but that biased study vaped at 500-700 watts and completely changed the molecular structure of the e liquid. So no, you don't get formaldehyde from vaping. "Toxic metal found in vaping" is another biased study... you should be concerned with the air you breathe or second smoke from a cigarette. the average person takes 17,000 breaths a day, the average vaper takes 300-400 vape hits a day, but the biased study took it as though a person is vaping for 17,000 breaths a day. A vaper would have to vape over 100 ml of e liquid in a day to even reach the legal toxic metals limit, even a heavy vaper is only going through 20-25 ml a day, nowhere near the legal limit. Usually vapers are known to vape less, around 10-15 ml a day. So no, you don't inhale toxic metals when vaping, it's a very misleading biased study funded by big cig companies. There are other examples as well such as wet lung from vaping... but your body is able to handle water in the lungs and get it out, you inhale more water from taking a shower than from an entire day of vaping. water on lung conditions cannot be caused by vaping. There are other examples and I told you i can debunk the biased vape studies, I've done a lot of research on vaping.

2018-10-26 02:29:20 UTC

@MamaLana Sourdough "e liquid is in anti freeze" is misleading. e liquid is made up of only 4 ingredients, vegetable glycerin, propelyne glycol, nicotine, and natural & artificial flavoring. Vegetable glycerin is well known to be safe for human consumption, it's used is many dental and hospital products, it keeps frozen foods fresh, it's even in your toothpaste, and 70-80% of e liquid is "VG". "PG" its toxic cousin is used in toxic antifreeze, but PG is used in non toxic anti freeze and is safe for human consumption, non toxic, 20-30% of e liquid is PG. It's one of the ingredients in non toxic anti freeze that makes it so it won't kill someone or something if accidentally drank.

2018-10-26 06:29:56 UTC

@Gambit Mutant thereโ€™s no glycerin in my toothpaste ๐Ÿ˜Ž my point isnโ€™t about the scare tactics of the cigarette industry or of our government. My point is that neither is healthy, PERIOD. Obviously statistics used correctly can skew results and perception of reality. That shelter wasnโ€™t advocating for either - they were against BOTH cigarette smoking and vaping.

2018-10-26 06:52:08 UTC

actually "PG" is the key ingredient that makes it 'anti-freeze'

2018-10-26 06:52:29 UTC

it's naturally found in buttercup flowers

2018-10-26 06:54:08 UTC

a zero power option to vaping is water based pump spray and a nicorette tablet soaking in it

2018-10-26 06:55:02 UTC

i've taken apart those vap units and rebuilt them, that resonator doesn't resonate, it doesn't even behave like an actual resonator, it's a heater, nothing more

2018-10-26 06:55:54 UTC

piezo electric elements 'resonate' when power is applied to them...with no heating

2018-10-26 06:56:13 UTC

they're crystal based

2018-10-26 06:57:17 UTC

and no cleaning or replacing of the crystal resonator is needed since it vapes pure so nothing sticks to it

2018-10-26 10:54:16 UTC

@MamaLana Sourdough and I'm wondering just what that shelter was saying about vaping is the thing. And yes, there actually is some vegetable glycerin in most toothpastes. And @SirW00f , maybe you don't agree with my source but... "In general, glycols are non-corrosive, have very low volatility and very low toxicity; however, the closely related ethylene glycol (a key ingredient in antifreeze) is toxic to humans and to many animals." ethylene glycol is in toxic anti freeze.

2018-10-26 10:54:32 UTC

PG's toxic cousin, PG is non toxic and in non toxic anti freeze https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Propylene_glycol

2018-10-26 11:07:33 UTC

Colgate and Crest toothpaste both have VG and PG both in them

2018-10-26 20:24:31 UTC

Thatโ€™s y I make my own w/ green clay, big soda& peppermint oil.

2018-10-27 07:31:52 UTC

@Gambit Mutant Colgate and Crest are really unhealthy. Colgate was one of the first brands that I remember using Triclosan...a known carcinogen. When I was still not completely natural in my product choice and using Colgate, I noticed that whenever I brushed that I was spitting out pieces of skin! I sometimes use Young Living toothpaste (I rep for them), but typically I just use salt, and sometimes I make my own like @thedametruth

2018-10-28 10:54:38 UTC

@MamaLana Sourdough ... young living toothpaste uses vegetable glycerin (VG) because it's proven to be safe for humans. "Ingredients
Water, Calcium carbonate, Cocos nucifera (Coconut) oil, Sodium bicarbonate, Glycerin (Vegetable), Xylitol, Xanthum gum, Mentha piperitaโ€  (Peppermint) oil, Mentha spicataโ€  (Spearmint) leaf oil, Eugenia caryophyllus (Clove) bud oil, Ocotea quixosโ€  (Ocotea) leaf oil, Cinnamomum verumโ€  (Cinnamon) Bark oil, Citrus limonโ€  (Lemon) peel oil, Eucalyptus Radiataโ€  leaf oil, Rosmarinus officinalisโ€  (Rosemary) leaf oil, Stevia rebaudiana leaf extract, Lecithin (Sunflower)."

Anybody have any experience/knowledge re: Patriot Power Greens?

2018-10-29 02:13:35 UTC

The marketing angle looks hoakey, but thinking about giving it a go. Thoughts, anyone?

2018-10-29 07:34:42 UTC

@Relic 1776 those look like typical paid opinion reviews. And the name looks to be a scam going after your background. Know the sources well and always check/double check multiple sources - perhaps for other product reviews. I would NOT trust that one posted above as itโ€™s intended to get you to BUY.

2018-10-29 07:41:01 UTC

Yes, @Gambit Mutant Iโ€™m aware of that. Itโ€™s not what you were talking about. Also, we rarely use it due to VG being possibly sourced from soy and there are allergies to soy in our family (even though VG is deemed safe). Not sure what point youโ€™re trying to make anymore.

2018-10-30 03:04:08 UTC

Thanks MamaLana. There IS a very strong BUY Buy vibe. Very strong sales push on the website

2018-10-30 03:06:30 UTC

Ima continue to look into it though

2018-10-30 03:07:17 UTC

No negative reviews found so far

2018-10-30 03:12:51 UTC

As to toothpaste, we are liking "kiss my face" flouride free triple action.

2018-10-30 09:53:24 UTC

@MamaLana Sourdough because VG is what makes up 70-80% of vape juice / e liquid. You were very vague about why that shelter says vaping is bad, so I have no idea what they're telling these people at the shelter about vaping. There's also a difference between food grade VG and medical grade VG... medical grade VG is synthetic and is the highest quality VG there is, and doesn't cause allergic reactions like food grade VG that contains soy can.

2018-10-30 10:01:07 UTC

I was just trying to prove to you that vaping is the safer option when compared to cigarettes.

2018-10-30 10:02:42 UTC

It's also because you laughed and said there's no glycerin in your toothpaste, when in fact there is.

2018-10-30 12:01:21 UTC

home grown tobacco is safer than either

2018-10-30 12:01:28 UTC

no pesticides

2018-11-01 10:39:06 UTC

btw, all tobacco products have been sweetened for decades from the same plant

2018-11-01 10:40:44 UTC

the tobacco u think is real 100% tobacco...it isn't...it's like 20% tobacco most of them, and the rest is natural licorice fiber...high source of vg

2018-11-01 10:41:58 UTC

it's the waste material they have left over from extracting the flavoring from the plant for other food products

2018-11-01 10:56:36 UTC

@SirW00f Iโ€™m too exhausted right now but I remember that thereโ€™s something in licorice that if a person has too much of it, it can cause heart problems.

@Gambit Mutant really? Reread my posts. Youโ€™re wasting my time on BS. Youโ€™re 1)splitting hairs and 2) posting ads/for sale crap and I will publicly say do NOT keep up this tactic or you will be banned. End of discussion.

2018-11-01 11:02:49 UTC

And to CLARIFY- โ€œmyโ€ toothpaste that I use: SALT. Ainโ€™t NO VG in that. The YL one DOES have VG and we donโ€™t use it much in our household due to actual SOY allergies.

2018-11-01 11:14:25 UTC

some plants have natural toxins in them, some are sprayed on toxins that can get transferred to the food supply

2018-11-01 11:21:47 UTC

btw, excessive carb intake(sugars, starches and even alcohol) can increase risks of heart disease while ignoring a few main factors that also contribute to what they call 'heart disease'

2018-11-01 11:24:22 UTC

a yeast infection in the blood stream(yes, it can happen, i'm living proof of it) can form plaque formations in the walls of the arteries in the slower areas of blood flow that have high risk of carb saturation and other materials for yeast breeding

2018-11-01 11:24:37 UTC

dad had heart disease

2018-11-01 12:12:54 UTC

@MamaLana Sourdough what ads? what for sale crap? I posted one referral link in here by mistake and soon deleted it, ONE. I haven't been posting ads or for sale crap except for that one referral link one time.
