So this video is one of those things that really annoys me. I just wanted to hear about which tabletop RPGs are popular in Japan, and if there are plans to export any unique "local" TRPGs into English. Near the end the white guy starts talking about how because there is less sexy art in Japanese translated TRPGs (D&D, Pathfinder, etc) there are more female players . This kind of idiocy ticks me off every time. First, women are not, and never are intimidated by that kind of thing. The most consistent female TRPG player I ever played with *specifically* wanted to be the sexiest looking character she could find in the book art. Second, RPG art has been getting consistently more woke and less sexy since 1 ed D&D you can literally see it. People go on about chainmail bikinis, but I can't remember the last time I saw that in fantasy TRPG artwork. Pathfinder is no better. You know, you bring up an interesting point that I argued with someone on the internet about decades ago. How often do humans accurately know what it is they want? This isn't a defense of that weird failing female students thing. But a seperate question.

@Grumplebee I am aware it wasn't the question you were asking. However, it is an interesting question. Perhaps, if worldwide efforts to design anti-ageing therapies (which I hope to participate in) bear fruit, the ageing population might remain fertile for longer, allowing the Japanese to re-populate from a wider gene pool even after the population density dwindles.
I really do think they should adopt a policy that's the opposite of China's one child policy.
@Grumplebee there are animals such as naked mole rats that show no signs of ageing throughout their lifespan and just suddenly die of cascading system failures. In the case of naked mole rats, no observed decline of fertility with age is included in this lack of ageing .

Their ribosomes, basic cellular units conserved througout eukaryotes, are split into three, rather than two units to achieve very high fidelity translation. Your ribosomes are more similar to yeast than they are to those of these mammals.
