Can you send coordinates?

@ND - James TX @NS - Jason TX @William TX Let us know whenever y’all are nearby.

I have your sunglasses.

Sounds good 👌🏻

I’m having trouble logging into the membership server, I was logged out somehow and can’t remember my login credentials.

Thank you that worked.

Glad to hear that man! It was great seeing you again.

Howdy, I see you’ve been placed on my team for the upcoming event. Do you have any of the required items for heavy shield teams?

:pushpin: NOTICE :pushpin:
Leg/Head Protection, Necessary Gear
Below linked is the standardized leg protection for heavy shieldbearers. It is not required for those on light duty shields.

It will be necessary for those on heavy shields to purchase and prepare their own leg guards. If they have issues with this financially they are to contact their team lead, and that is to be discussed here.

If you are taller than 6ft, you may want to buy the taller guards.

Once you acquire the guards, you must paint them. Steps for doing that are as follows:
- Lightly sand the surface of the pads until it has a matte appearance, and is no longer shiny and sleek.
- Cover all areas of the item but the hard padding with masking tape.
- Spray the pads with two light coats of light tan paint. (Rustoleum brand "Antique White" is Ideal).

Instructions for the chin strap are simple. All on shields are required to have one. Purchase one, and hold onto the extra.
- Very carefully pick a place just in front of the ear on your hat and poke a hole in the fabric just big enough to clip the chinstrap.
- If the hat can be worn comfortably with the mask overtop of the chinstrap, and is more firmly attached to the head, do the same with the bump cap inserted.
- It is best to drill a small hole into the bump cap at the precise location previously used. If you do not have access to a drill, ask your locals.

Report back with any questions, before proceeding with the process. Acquire and prepare these items as soon as you are able.

Shin guards are 25% off right now with the code below. All vanguard and rear-guard members need to purchase. This should help.

Let me know if you have any financial issues in regards to affording the equipment.

Yes I have.

I originally said 6:00 but I think I may move it to 6:45 or 7:00.

Would that work for you?

Nah man come hang out with us, we can arrange to get dinner after the interview.

Thanks for letting me know, I’ll ask if anybody has a spare you could borrow.

Did you order one or two pairs of the chin straps?

The first or the second link?

Alright great.

3(4) problems of note.

While this problems are directed at people they should be taken as something to improve on.

1. Hounding by leaderships. There is, at present, no real sense that higher leadership cares about you. You are treated as a number that needs to be mobilized. Mobilization does not take into account that some time hacks can just not be meet.
2. Unprofessional local leadership. Local leadership has had limited leadership experience in the past, is shows. If accountability for activism is being taken through the chat then activism should make up a small part of the meeting. Likewise fitness, fit members should not be subject to long talks and rambles over fitness. This drove now previous members up the wall, and still does for present members. If meetings are important to attend then they should cover important things. If you are in a leadership position you do not punch into that role when the meeting starts, that is your full time role.
3. No local community. This falls on cluster 3. Getting together to preform activism fell by the way side. I am no exception to this, have to put off group runs for other things, some times selfish. Just because Friday night doesn’t work, doesn’t mean there aren’t other times. On us to organize and work things out.

I’ve already talked to James about this stuff, but these are some problems that led to Scott leaving PF that we can work on improving. The biggest thing obviously being the way we structure our meetings.

I’ve waited an entire year to eat some stuffing.

I think we can manage weekly meetings so long as they’re a fraction of the time spent before. As I suggested to James yesterday, we can take the initiative to collect information we need to fulfill our leadership responsibilities on our own basis instead of routinely going down the line during Mumble meetings which unnecessarily draws out the time. There’s two ways of doing this: A.) We have a weekly announcement to guys in the network channel to send the information we need directly to Jason every week, or B.) We divide up the information collection to the officers that work with that information. Example, James would DM guys throughout the week asking about their plans to do activism/if they’ve done some yet. Jason could DM guys asking about their fitness concerns, and giving advice to those that seek him out. And I could be responsible for messaging guys to check up on the logistical things (promat, travel, uniform, etc.)

I like the second option better, not only because it gives us leadership the ability to do our roles on our own time and at our own pace, but it also gives us the opportunity for more conversation with guys in direct message which would make them feel less like just a number and more like a member.

I believe that if we make a goal for leadership to build relationships with the members we would see more consistency in attendance and fulfillment of the basic requirements.

Happy thanksgiving brother 💪🏻

I know that I’ll be driving my truck there.

I’d be good to have a mumble meeting anytime tomorrow.

It’s not a problem man, I just need to get my wheels checked out but if they’re good to go I’ll be able to drive 👍🏻

Great to hear man, thank you for updating me 👍🏻

Sure

Paul TX - VANGUARD - 5/5 have ordered shin guards, 3/5 have confirmed they have received them.

Not as good as those finely painted shields I must say 👌🏻

the White Power ranger

That’s what we’ll be jumping out of at the next demo.

I can print them at my school.

I technically would, but it’s not like it would raise any alarms printing them out.

I was able to get Adobe Creative Cloud for a discounted price on Black Friday. Once I’m done with this semester I’d love to help do motion graphics or whatever video work needs doing over the winter break.

The paint on the shin guards were from the meetup last weekend, I’m not sure if that was the recommended color but if it was we might go for a darker color next time since they seem more white than khaki color.

Recommendations.txt

Ah ok, I had the misconception that they were intended to look kahki. Good to know!

I've received word that you will need to meet in DFW for the event this weekend. If it works for you, let's arrange to do what we did last week and have you drive to College Station and I'll drive you from there.

You’re good man, is everything alright on your end?

We can do 3PM on Thursday, that way when we get there we will have time to rest before the long haul.

Hey brother I forgot to ask about how the engagement went!

Hey man, how’s it looking for getting off work this Thursday evening for the event?

I see you went and had a sticker run without me haha. You know you can always invite me out to do that kind of stuff.

Hey brother, hope y’all have a fun time at the park today. Make sure to ask James or Jason for some promat if you could use more.

All good, how many stacks of stickers do you have on you? Do you have any fliers?

No problem man.

@ND - James TX Understandable, if you want to talk about it after the meeting tonight I’ll be staying on to chat.

Alright good deal, I just got a stack of the newly released fliers.

When do you leave for your flight?

Haha very based, I wish you two good luck on the way to marriage 💪🏻

What’s your schedule looking like for December? I’d love to meet up with you again sometime soon.

Are you going to that big Christmas party up in Dallas?

If you’re able to make it to the Christmas Party, Bastion will be renting a car from College Station. You’re welcome to meet him there and ride with him up to McKinney.

Keep up the good work with activism, Douglas will be home for the winter soon so maybe y’all will have the chance to do stuff together.

If you did I didn’t catch word of it, glad to know that will work out then 👍🏻

We have stencils but no letters that could write out big words.

I had my truck’s wheels checked out today and the attendant recommended having them changed by the end of the year and was pessimistic about taking them on a long road trip to the east coast.

He suggested that only the back two would be most likely to fail, whereas the front tires are still halfway there.

I have a spare, but it’s the type that’s only meant to last you to get to the nearest shop to have it changed out.

I didn’t get that estimate from him, but probably $300-400

Would it be inappropriate to ask my network for funds to have the tires replaced before we leave?

Considering Oscar’s vehicle and the van we’re renting I wouldn’t be worried about space, but I’m not going to ask Pat to take his vehicle since I understand he is having issues affording insurance and can’t have as many people help drive it.

I’ll see about asking my network about raising funds, but if there is no other choice I may end up having to take the brute of that cost, which is fine since it is my vehicle and I need new tires anyways.

Why’d you get kicked out of school?

We need to be there at midnight on Thursday, so you’ll have to take another day off.

Let me know if you absolutely can’t do it and we’ll see what we can do.

My new cap insert hasn’t come in the mail yet unfortunately, let me send you the instructions for attaching them.

We’ll have time after the mumble meeting tonight to chat on there if you’ll be able to make it.

Am or pm? What day?

RSVP for the Christmas party at [email protected]

Bastion will be renting a vehicle from College Station, so if you want to ride up to there with him let me know.

All good man.

I’m scheduled to have my tires replaced tomorrow afternoon.

The dress code for the TRS Christmas Party will be a suit and tie.

I think H‑E‑B would work fine, we parked there last year when we went to Chicago for a few days and nobody got towed, I’m not sure of any better places you could park.

Also Douglas will be riding with us, and he won’t be free to leave until about 4.

Yes he will be in College Station. He’s still unsure about when he will be free, but 4 is the earliest he is expecting to be able to meet ups. I’ll see if I can get a better time from him tomorrow.

We have a time and place we’re shooting to meet up at.

Do you still plan on having me go over marching and shield drills with our guys?

👍🏻

Did you ever get your shin guards painted?

Have you received the shin guards and chin strap yet?

Is your gear all good to go for this weekend?

You mean for setting up the chin strap?

Awesome, thank you for being on top of everything Oscar 💪🏻
