Like I would go into an issue to discuss something and why people believe what they believe but when talking to leftists they only responded with talking points. When I pressed further they always just walked away from the conversation. Then they started reacting more negatively towards me in general for ever even questioning and asking them to defend their positions.

@Abel as I see it, the left-right spectrum is in general capitalism vs socialism

Where libertarians and ancaps gladly discussed with me for hours and defended/tested their positions.

V, that explains theyve become heavily invested in the political sphere. A common view and tactic used by socialists, communists and anti trumpers is to not debate an issue because "cant lose a debate if you dont have a debate"
