that's how i'm understanding this

2020-01-08 02:52:06 UTC

i'm pretty sure if we can get Muslim migrants on board with the motive of bringing about peace in their homelands, we can turn their own people against them if there is a common goal of peace

2020-01-08 02:52:33 UTC

and they'll go home now that there's nothing to fear

2020-01-08 02:53:30 UTC

because you gotta remember *why* they migrated in the first place

In regards to the Greens in Australia, I've also heard similar. A Green supporter I talked to said that the Greens were for controlled burns, but suggested that if the bans were put in place it would be to protect the wildlife, as apparently controlled burns weren't taking into account the ecology in the area. I haven't verified it because I don't care too much, but that's just what I've heard.

Im an aussie and spent most of my childhood in and around country towns where bushfires are a very real risk. There are plenty of stories about greenies from the cities that dont understand how the australian bush works trying to stop people from doing things that help reduce the risk of bushfires

2020-01-08 05:17:51 UTC

2 main examples of this are stopping hazard reduction burning (backburning) where they can and closing access to roads used by firefighters to the general public

2020-01-08 05:19:24 UTC

that last example is an issue because people that use those roads often bring chainsaws and such when using them, helping to keep them cleared and ready for use when a fire does actually hit. Those roads are critical for firefighters to get into hard to reach areas to put fires out when that is an option

2020-01-08 05:21:18 UTC

in all seriousness the greens party is horrible for the australian environment and the people involved with it have little to no knowledge about what it is they claim to protect (its either that or they are actually evil, which I doubt is the case for most/all of them)

2020-01-08 05:24:34 UTC

there is an issue a hobby fisherman mentioned to me about somewhere he used to go fishing that had a huge introduced fish problem. The introduced fish were outcompeting the native fish which was causing a decline in the native fish population. The greens solution to this was to ban fishing in that area -_-

2020-01-08 06:16:22 UTC

It has began.

2020-01-08 06:16:36 UTC

Let now see would there be an all out war?

2020-01-08 06:16:46 UTC

What do you think?

2020-01-08 06:17:16 UTC

Latest updates says no casualties

2020-01-08 06:18:12 UTC

So would Trump retaliate with a full fledged airstrike or would he order the troops to just keep their heads down?

2020-01-08 06:19:40 UTC

who knows? too early to tell

2020-01-08 10:33:30 UTC

Maybe another Gulf War?

2020-01-09 13:09:27 UTC

@Thomas the Sowell Train [USA] Damn, that's some autism

2020-01-09 13:19:11 UTC

love people from the country, no filter...all truth

2020-01-09 13:34:54 UTC

Maybe he can't afford filters after this

Invasion of Iran: Expensive. Way more than Iraq. Iran's strategy: Welcome guys, enjoy Vietnam/Afghanistan-style guerrilla war when you run out of gas, only facing better weapons and training. Solution: Siege Iran's ports and trade routes instead. Destroy strategic facilities through air superiority, such as factories and bunkers. Cheap in comparison, and very expensive for Iran.

@kebman more or less my argument. The people aren't interested in an occupation, and the current political promises don't allow for it without consequences.

2020-01-10 05:29:37 UTC

Destroying their air defense systems, aircraft, select refineries, and their ports? Much more effective in terms of gross economic costs.

2020-01-10 11:17:07 UTC

why are people still comparing Iran to Vietnam, nothing alike, no one is gonna occcupy Iran

2020-01-10 11:22:36 UTC

not to mention even if we did we have tech that would have made Vietnam much less messy AND Iran doesn't have the same type of terain to hide in.

2020-01-10 11:23:13 UTC

just keep bombing single leaders until the new guy would rather keep his head down, that's all we need to do in the area.

2020-01-10 11:23:35 UTC

and take out any longer range stuff like rockets and such, but again, can be done form the air.

2020-01-10 11:25:24 UTC

^this

2020-01-10 11:25:39 UTC

kill every leader that doesn't play nice.

2020-01-10 11:25:47 UTC

keep killing till they learn

2020-01-10 11:25:52 UTC

might take a while

2020-01-10 11:26:04 UTC

I mean, you can even just drop dummy missles on his door step the first time :)

2020-01-10 11:26:23 UTC

written in something they can understand "next one is live, have a nice day!"

2020-01-10 11:26:31 UTC

well if i remember correctly, the strategy of proportional increase of force was what led to Vietnam's disaster

2020-01-10 11:27:40 UTC

but we couldn't next day air warheads to anyone in that country at any time, so it's not gonna be Vietnam in any way.

2020-01-10 11:27:46 UTC

I've always thought that decisive force is imperative in ending conflicts swiftly... a lesson not learned even as it was what ended WW2
