Spanish Civil War 2: Electric Boogaloo in 2036?
Why do i get the sinking feeling that the 21st century is just going to be a repeat of the 20th
If that's the case we're six years behind already 😮
Tbh I unironically want a European federation, we'd be able to kick everybody else's ass in a matter of months.
What we
But how would you organize that federation? And how exactly would we kick ass?
It should be organized based on the American Federation (only politically, not economically) , but leaving more freedoms to the individual counties and throwing the Electoral college in the garbage.
We would kick ass because we are already some of the most powerful and advanced countries in the world, so imagine what we could do together.
why the fuck would EU citizens want that though? many people already find the EU too intrusive on their national governments..
Mine is just an ideal, it's obvious that the will of the people comes first.
why would you emulate the US without the cornerstone of the stability of their federation
The Electoral College is a violation of the principles of democracy, if I had to find something to take it's place I would choose a parlament.
Well if nothing else I appreciate your thorough demonstration of Poe's law

first amendment: "Putin is the best"
putin the work
I wish Putin was my dad
It could be good, or maybe ol' Putin is doing his usual stuffs. He might prefer to be a PM since there are no term limits then
Or maybe he's planning retirement (won't hold my breath)
change his party to lib dem, then wait for twitter
We had a joke in school
There are democracies with presidential system, meaning the power is in the hands of the president, there are democracies with parliamentarian system where it's in the hands of the parliament and there's Russia, where the power is wherever Putin is
hey, atleast they're polite about it🤷♂️

Are far right parties in Europe growing or is it just media
They appear to be based on polls I've seen
@bocchi just wants friends Depends what you consider Far Right to be
anything to the right of antifa
I mean literally nazis
@bocchi just wants friends I doubt that *actual* nazis are gaining in popularity. I guess part of the problem is that I don't think that there's a easy way to identify what actually is a nazi or nazism that the everyman can agree with. Are ethnonationalists nazis? Maybe, maybe not. At least here (Finland) some do have some troubling opinions that do veer too close to actual fascism and nazism for my tastes.
