there are lots of sneaky places they hide extensively deployed vans etc
they especially like long roads which have limits that are lower than they need to be and which have low traffic / no pedestrians, because they're more likely to catch people
they also hide behind SUVs, vans, trees, etc
If there's a camera van in my town it's all over the local facebook group in about 5 minutes. Not that that would help if you're already driving or from out the area
i remember when they rolled out average speed cameras i thought it was pretty shitty, but now ive seen that they calibrate them for 55+ in a 50 (for example) you really have to just be cruising along persistently above the limit. so thats fine with me
There's a long sweeping bend that's slightly downhill and has a section with no trees that they like parking part way round here, or half way down one of the 2 steep hills leading in/out
