Did anyone see the Rubin Report with Peter Thiel recently? One of the things Thiel said is that Facebook gets a worse rap than it deserves... but then shit like this happens, with Straka getting banned over absolute bullshit. Thiel seems like a good and honest guy from what I've seen and heard but I really wish he would have at least explained what he meant. I mean, the fact that he was so reluctant to discuss *anything* does not tell me that Facebook gets a worse rap than they deserve, it tells me they're getting exactly the rap they deserve.
I think he knows that, but can't really go into details being in the position that he is.

I went to Greece for 3 seasons to fill the need to have an English speaker outside Nightclubs to drum up business
why does Salvani need 1000s of new men that are so uneducated that can't speak their own language, let alone Italian?
The jobs that were available were nothing important, but the usual low paying intensive labour ones. Furthermore, they were took in, and accepted the immigrants. It's ironic that Italy, a nation which has always famously emigrated to other nations around it and to the US, now refuses to take in people who are in the same situation as their kin. Furthermore, Italy does have jobs which these people can take, especially in the southern agricultural sectors, and northern factories. It's a matter of not wanting to take in immigrants.
Also... these people do learn the language, I've seen it myself with many of such immigrants who sell stuff during parties and events, they make an effort to speak Spanish, and though broken, they speak it well enough.
Not to forget, that the 70s was a time of economic crisis across the world, so taking the Italians in, was quite a commitment
When I went accross to Greece, my skill was that I spoke English. The Islands I worked on were real melting pots of Nationality and English was the common language as it is here
but did I get benefits? not have to learn any Greek?
expect to eat British Food?
did I pay for my accomidation?
did I have a job?
was I schooled by the Greek Government on speaking the language?
