@JackH670 I used to have that instinct easily activated, but as soon as I realised that mosquitoes are bigger enemies I started to like spooders. They are my allies against the flying disease syringes

Instead of using power hungry muscles they use springy tendons and blood hydraulics to activate their legs

So when a spider is hanging on the net, they don't use any energy to stay attached

They will only need to use their heart more to move when the prey gets caught

Hence why they can go weeks without food on one meal
