Waving a gun at you is criminal menacing/brandishing (note that there's a difference between open carry and brandishing). Should be okay to defend yourself in that situation

36" rattan flag poles okay?

Not that I think any of us are felons, but:

It is **illegal** for felons in Virginia to concealed carry stun guns **except** within their own homes or after having their rights restored by a judge.

2017-07-15 19:42:03 UTC

This question doesn't pertain to Virginia specifically, but I've heard there are state laws which were created back in the Cold War to protect leftists from getting fired simply for their political affiliations. I'm wondering which states have these laws in case many of us get doxxed at this event.

It's federal statute that prohibits discrimination based on political beliefs.

The Civil Service Reform Act of 1978 (CSRA)

2017-07-15 20:09:26 UTC

Now of course that specifically applies to gov't jobs, but almost every state had adopted it to apply to private sector, too. EEOC would know which states don't. Can look there

Anybody know if it's legal to open carry a baton? It looks like it's illegal to cc it

2017-07-15 21:37:57 UTC

I believe it is legal. Spring-loaded baton is illegal

2017-07-15 21:39:48 UTC

Gravity is good tho?

2017-07-15 23:58:05 UTC

@junker many many goys are carrying guns, I see no problem with carrying a billyclub, my question wasn't of optics its of legality

2017-07-16 00:00:26 UTC

Conceal carry is way different than walking into a crowd with a club, as far as optics go.

Is bear mace acceptable defence in VA law?

2017-07-16 00:31:52 UTC

I wouldn't use bear mace, get standard OC spray. I personally use Fox Labs.

@Vice Commander Hunt To answer your question regarding batons; Carrying spring-loaded baton is illegal, but other batons are legal. But those batons that are legal I recommend that you open carry them as Virginia law is very vague regarding concealed carry of a baton.

2017-07-16 00:42:42 UTC

Its best to avoid batons in my opinion, I would just get hardwood dowel (that fits in your hand) from a store and cut it to size.

2017-07-16 15:55:41 UTC

@junker that's what a wrench with tape wrapped around the handle is for.

2017-07-16 16:27:08 UTC

That leather handle thing has a metal or lead weight in it. called a blackjack. And ya, popo definitely considers them an offensive weapon

2017-07-16 16:28:41 UTC

they're pretty much the same thing as a bike lock on a rope/bandana/etc. highly dangerous

2017-07-16 18:51:31 UTC
