It's easier to get sued for libel and slander in canada
among other things

Imagine studying journalism
Hey, with the skills you need for it nowadays, I can now do jobs ranging the gauntlet from PR work to film and audio editing
Graphic design, speaking events
TV and radio board operation
>Graphic design
Could just do an actual degree
>Dead end
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
At least it wasn't lesbian poetry degree
It's the same tier as useless.
With the state of journalism, lesbian poetry is probably more useful
It’s ok Canadian man
You can investigate how to have a good career
>""""man""""
I'll be honest though
I'd like a job reporting in a smaller local environment where I can meet people and just learn stories and relay them to the public
I don't care about being big-name, there's politics up there
That sounds like something a guy with a go pro could do
I'd work for a local news company, or a small online business like Tim's Subverse
Play my vidya
Humans of New York
Does that
I like that guy
Literally anyone can be a journalist these days
I wanna do that kind of thing too
Ya go for it man
I think it’s good
I just went to school to learn the tricks, and good thing is I won't be in debt within a year or so
It wasn't a super expensive program and my family's been saving money here and there for ages
Honestly, more important than the skills?
the networking
the professors were a combo of ex and current well-respected journos from local and provincial levels
and a lot of my classmates work for local stations too, like I do now
I can ring up my old program director anytime, and she always knows what's going on around town
