It's always funny when you see the argument that a former Green Beret told him to do it so it's okay, as I'm pretty sure there is much larger population, of all races, who served either in the armed forces or in law enforcement that think otherwise

I think the general anti-elitist American attitude is really useful in circumstances like these. Most people get pretty frustrated when multimillionaires, celebrities, or professional game players feel like they have the standing to talk down to them about politics.
