I’m the only one who didn’t finish college but I’m married with a kid so idgaf

2018-11-11 22:35:25 UTC

Isn't that sad and not funny?

2018-11-11 22:35:41 UTC

@Grossly Incandescent i'm the quintessential middle child

2018-11-11 22:35:50 UTC

Oh do tell

2018-11-11 22:36:05 UTC

my older sibling is off the rails liberal but was steered in by life somewhat

2018-11-11 22:36:38 UTC

my younger sibling is very aloof and, well, spoiled for lack of a better word

2018-11-11 22:36:42 UTC

and i'm just there, in the middle

2018-11-11 22:37:00 UTC

@YourFundamentalTheorum ha that would be weird, but the article talks a bit that it happened over time. There used to be little farms there and for a few years they would just sweep the sand away so their crops could grow, but as you can see in the picture eventually the sand became too much.

2018-11-11 22:37:08 UTC

I’m not too far off that with my family dynamics tbh

2018-11-11 22:37:27 UTC

is that how all families function with 3 children?

2018-11-11 22:37:36 UTC

I wonder if there's any good research on how having siblings affects your development

2018-11-11 22:37:39 UTC

First child master race 😎

2018-11-11 22:37:48 UTC

I found a bunch of articles saying that being an only child doesn't make a difference

2018-11-11 22:37:55 UTC

really sounds like bullshit to me

2018-11-11 22:38:15 UTC

@ThisIsChris it also seems like a village, not a town. Idk who has "high heels" there

2018-11-11 22:38:19 UTC

I don’t think it’s detrimental as long as the parents don’t ruin the only child by spoiling them rotten

2018-11-11 22:38:23 UTC
2018-11-11 22:38:28 UTC

@Grossly Incandescent like in China

2018-11-11 22:38:37 UTC

@Grossly Incandescent I just can't see how it wouldn't affect your social skills, though

2018-11-11 22:38:54 UTC

Especially for me, since literally the only family I grew up around was my parents

2018-11-11 22:39:01 UTC

Well there is no replacement for how you interact and care for a sibling

2018-11-11 22:39:02 UTC

Nationalism is the opposite of treason...

2018-11-11 22:39:07 UTC

Do you have cousins?

2018-11-11 22:39:38 UTC

Yes, but none of them live in the US. I've met them, but I don't know them very well.

2018-11-11 22:39:52 UTC

@ThisIsChris Nationalism is treason against Communism.

2018-11-11 22:40:04 UTC

Wut? Nationalism is treason? Like...is that even possible? "It's treason to be loyal to one's own country." I can't believe the timeline we're living in right now.

2018-11-11 22:40:04 UTC

Macron is married to a women who literally looks like Iron Maiden’s Eddy, he can stuff it

2018-11-11 22:40:41 UTC

Not only are my parents the only family I know, but they're also divorced

2018-11-11 22:40:55 UTC

Or global cultural Marxism.. whatever you want to call it.

2018-11-11 22:40:57 UTC

I get it that he's French, and they line their streets with trees so invading armies can march in the shade...but seriously.

2018-11-11 22:41:02 UTC

My parents getting divorced messed me up fam

2018-11-11 22:42:19 UTC

divorce raises the country's GDP though

2018-11-11 22:42:26 UTC

that's why they like it

2018-11-11 22:42:37 UTC

but it ruins families

2018-11-11 22:42:41 UTC

Just f my family unit up fam

2018-11-11 22:42:43 UTC

like bigtime

2018-11-11 22:42:54 UTC

It definitely affected my brother and sister as well

2018-11-11 22:42:57 UTC

and if you have children

2018-11-11 22:43:04 UTC

All three of us acted out in our own ways

2018-11-11 22:43:06 UTC

you're just ruined their psychology for a long, long time

2018-11-11 22:43:30 UTC

My wife and I both went through this so we’re very committed to never doing that to our kids
