@missliterallywho what do you mean?
@ThisIsChris I disappeared on everyone I knew except family
Yeah, I kept Jewish friends after being doxed for having views on that stuff. I had blacks tell me they agreed with me on a lot of issues. I didn’t experience total social rejection at all
Maybe there is a generational difference, political correctness is big with millenials
But I had a history of disappearing on everyone every 3 years or so anyway
@NateDahl76 you were doxxed?
being doxxed is more than about losing your job. Say you manage to keep it. Unless you live in an area / are already apart of a community that is at least in some way sympathetic to our views, your long-term relationships with friends, neighbors, family & just people in the community in general can be seriously damaged. Maybe it'd be ideal if they agreed with us but I'd assume we want to be active members in society
When I made huge ideological shifts forward I shed my entire social life and started over. I don't expect to be needing to do that anymore.
Among my peers.
Nothing posted
Was hushed
H a n d l e d
So people knew your views but it wasn't publicized.
Yep. Had one of said peers recently try to dox me recently as well. I threatened a lawsuit and called his parents, and he stopped. These situations aren’t cut and dry
He contacted all of my friends, and I lost nothing
@NateDahl76 So it was just the one guy?
He didn't publish it on any antifa sites?
>having friends
Bro r u even atomized?
Yeah I posted something about my gf and he started hitting up people connected to my social media. I blocked him, and everyone he had contact with. Nothing was published because I had shut it down that night. He had connections to socialists
I would have made it my mission to bankrupt him
I also had to pull social strings to get others to block him and such. Charisma
@NateDahl76 you lucked out that he had low agency and that your friends don't mind, that he didn't take screenshots and send them to antifa (yet).
I think y’all are conflating “people know my views” and “people posted my face and views on a website and sent them to my employers/university/neighborhood”
It’s a spectrum, friend. There are absolutely things you can do to mitigate damage
Not absolutely
once in a while if the guy has low agency then you can get lucky and contain the damage
Is every single friend who found out tight lipped forever? Sounds ominous.
I’m confident, because I made sure they know I’m a good person. One was a friend of my ex’s, who decided to stay out of it. Still got my ex to access her stuff and delete and block stuff for me. Social strings
Basically they like me enough that it’ll be alright. Others won’t mess with me because they’re not dumb and don’t have the evidence
Who has the evidence?
GenZ cares less about this stuff, probably. People reacted positively in my favor, simply because they hated the SJWism
The tldr for everyone not currently doxxed is to delete all social media that associates your real name with your real face and anything in between, and remove your info from people-finding websites. Disassociate with anyone who might be inclined to dox you if at all possible. Live a lifestyle that would at worst get you doxxed as a Tucker Carlson-esque Trumpian nationalist.
Old peers that I haven’t seen in a long time. Keep in mind I wasn’t an adult when this stuff came out
Well it's easy for them to give a thumbs up when their door isn't being knocked down, but the point is that if one person leaks evidence then they could easily start to get harassed and even if they like you they will probably choose not to associate with you.
I only have 2 non ideological, non movement friends left after my doxx last year
Is there any way for you to erase the evidence, @NateDahl76 ?
Is it like digital stuff you can delete?
Post Charlottesville they call my employer and said my working there creates a hostile environment for blacks and minorities
But I guess it showed me my real friends
It was painful for a while
