Holy hell at the "46 pledges" post in <#359019358204198926>
@⚡Clark⚡ Well, if I were to choose a degree purely based on my hobbies, I'd probably choose political science or whatever will get me a job in the movement. But, since that isn't always realistic, I went with something that's kinda interesting but will make me more money.
If I had to choose a degree based on hobbies id get a angry video game nerd degree
In hindsight, I would have chosen something else. I had an attitude instilled in me growing up that unless you do computer science or become a doctor or something, you'll live on a bridge.
@Selma James Rolfe is a Good boy
I met him in person once
He's very very nice.
@Selma yes he seems very grounded compared to the later coming e celebs
He defeated the leftist media regarding Ghostbusters
OH, he destroyed them.
If I could do it over again, I would have chosen a much cheaper route of getting an education. University graduates make more money in the long term, but it also drains your life savings and possibly gets you into massive debt. Also, I haven't seen any evidence that university graduates making more money is causational.
Just by being polite but principled. The Jared Taylor of vidya
In the current climate, I would say a trade school or community college is a wiser option
When he was new, and I was maybe 8 or 9, I sent him a private message on Youtube about the 1980s Zelda Cartoon, and he responded with paragraphs. IM JUST SAYING HES SUPER COOL, WOOD APE.
@Selma based child
Offer to work for free for a few months for someone you look up to instead of college.

“I paid for college with a part time job. What’s wrong with you, kid?”
Dude I have an uncle tht paid for his phd with part time summer jobs
And of course hes a childless leftist fool
@Alexander Pechorin That sounds like a good idea. I feel like my best option is to just finish my degree now that I'm here and have already put so much money into it, though.
@Jacob how many years do you have left? 1 year out of college can move much faster and you’ll be surprised how much progress you can make. If you can get 2 years of extra work experience, it’s a huge deal. Of course, it depends on your goals.
This year, and one more year
@Jacob are you in a specialized comp sci program? Or a general one?
What is a specialized program?
@Jacob its a personal choice.
I had two years left when I quit, and those two years turned out to be the most important years of my life.
Seems like you have to play it very carefully if you quit
Could go wrong easily
I think the risk is much higher staying. 2 years and tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars is quite a bit.
Vs 1 year where you try things out and then go back if you fail.
My husband is going to school for engineering
And I found nobody quite cared about my credential status. But it all depends on the career you want.
