As an FYI to the "those steel slats are just a fence" talk going around, the Border Patrol has specifically said that they need to be able to *see* through the wall so that the guys on the ground can know what's going on on the other side

No matter what I think the wall should look like, I'd take the guys on the ground's recommendation a little more sincerely

I don't either. They do need the "wall" part to be on the top several feet to prevent San Diego invader climbing and sitting on it, but the bottom needs to be able to be seen through
