Big time!
I'm afraid he may be pushing the envelope too far, and playing chicken with a de-platforming, but it's glorious to watch while it's happening...
Right on. I’m going to Buckeye at the end of this month
How were your New Years'?
Mine was interesting. I spent it with some old friends from before I got into politics. I had some pretty deep conversions with them and was told I changed for the better. I felt myself drifting away from them for a while but it seems our relationships have improved a lot. One old friend in particular that I had a long conversation with seemed like he was kind of disappointed in me in the past because I was making politics into my entire identity but he's glad I've learned to express my views in a less conflict causing way.
I made it clear to him that I still have "controversial" views, but I've learned to express them better and he seemed to accept that even if he doesn't totally agree with me.
@Jacob sounds like that was still an adjustment period to the redpills you swallowed
thats when i was all politics all the time
shock and frustration at the lies id been fed
Another friend who I haven't seen in a while matured a lot since the last time I saw him, as did I. He told me I'm the "only person who understands politics and doesn't get mad about it" which made me kinda proud. Going forward that's the reputation I want to make for myself. Someone who my friends can be comfortable talking politics with even if they disagree with me.
Keep an eye on the kids.

@VinceChaos Ya, I think that's part of it. I got assaulted by Antifa about two years ago and one of my friends told me that I became really angry after that incident and kinda took it out on everyone.
i dont even blame you
sounds logical
not taking it out on everyone but frustration and emotion and anger
the phases of the redpill might mirror the grieving process
tbh I'm kinda impressed with my friends that they stayed with me through the worst of my edgy phase
One of them in particular who is pretty anti Trump said I changed for the better but insisted I was never particularly bad in the first place. She made it clear to me that she thinks it's dumb to lose friends over politics which I was glad to hear.
I'm an open white identitarian with all my friends btw. They don't seem to care as long as I discuss it calmy and don't shove my politics into every conversation.
The average white person really doesn't hate us, when they meet us one on one.
Hell, average non white person probably doesn't as much as you'd think.
People will scream at us in the street, but go up to someone and talk to them, human being to human being, most people will be cool even if they don't agree.
I think it helped a lot that my friends were already my friends for a while by the time they found out my political beliefs
Yeah definitely.
A lot of people expect us to be the ones at yell that them and they're kinda surprised when we don't.
Yeah, not being what they expected is a great thing to do.
I mean, in a good way.
I went to a protest with another IE member a while ago and we talked to some far leftists and they thanked us for having a civil discussion. It kinda caught them off guard.
It's easy to hate a mythical being dreamed up by the media, this horrible caricature of an evil, hate-filled monster of a person. That's why talking to people is an important form of activism. They need to meet Identitarians and realize we are also people. Good people, members of their community, people who laugh and smile, have friends, families and dreams. We need to be humanized. Much harder to demonize someone people already perceive as human.
My friends' older sister told me a while ago that her first impression of me was "he seems nice". Kinda hard to think of me as a Hollywood Nazi after that kind of impression has already been made.
It's easy to hate evil angry man on nightly news. It's hard to hate Jacob, the guy next door, or Server Admin, your friend from work, whatever.
Yeah, exactly.
