I am supposedly entj, but I don't put a ton of stock into it.
Trust me, its bogus. There isn't just 16 "personality types".
Yea attendance is the most important part
@ExternalPepsi I agree with that
Yeah, if I'm correct, literally the only job of Allsup's office was to SPECIFICALLY attend hearings to make decisions, and he never did lol
I get ISTP for the most part.
I'm not sure if he attended meetings or not I haven't heard from him in a while, but it always seemed like they had a negative sentiment towards him
But I've gotten ENTP AND INTP
Someone tried to get him kicked out immediately
@StevePines -WA I"m sure they did. He wasn't one of the Zog PTA members that rule every community
@ExternalPepsi well of course not. If you look into it it’s pretty interesting. A mother and daughter came up with it after reading a Carl jung book. There’s actually variations within the types also.
I only looked into it a little the other day.
@Nemets it would be actually.
@OMGDwayne Mr_Bond
@DaddyPaddy - FL So nice to see you Mr. Bond. I expect you to die etc.
@ExternalPepsi your probably just not extremely introverted or extroverted.
@Nerv - VA I admit, I'm a sucker for personality tests, I just find them fun
@Nico The Great - CA I am too but I know it's basically bullshit.
I never thought about it until I got a YouTube recommendation and was like holy hell this is me.
Like there is some truth
@ExternalPepsi Well, if you weren't skeptical of things, you probably wouldn't be in IE ha ha
true
That makes me wonder, how many people in IE were "redpilled" just by having based parents, and how many of us joined from watching too many Youtube videos? That would be an interesting study
@Nico The Great - CA I have a great book somewhere in my library that first has you take the MB personality test then shows which careers/jobs are most common among your personality type. Although I regularly test into 2 different personalities depending on how the questions are asked, I was shocked at how accurate it was with my personality type and the kinds of careers that appeal to me (and that I've done).
I have actually tested as 3 different ones, but I get 2 more commonly. I'd have to look it up to remember which ones they were.
Their are trillions of neurons in the brain with many more connections. Yeah, personality test are bullshit.
Anything that puts you into a category isn't going to be 100% correct. I am pretty unusual in that I can be both very extroverted (which I think I lean to) but I also enjoy my personal time and reflection (thus why I get introverted too).
The thing is, just because it isn't 100% accurate doesn't mean it isn't useful.
They vary A LOT on usefulness.
@greg_p - TX Very interesting! The test I took said I'm more geared towards science/math, and that otherwise it's hard for my type to find careers. Unfortunately for me, I HATE science and math, which just means I struggle to find any career lol
People are different people in different circumstances/environments.
In-depth/real MB personality tests have proven to be the most useful out of the ones I've taken.
You might be more extroverted if you are the most "alpha" male in the room and introverted otherwise, for example.
Even though I was tested INTP, and alot of what it said was true about me, I'm actually not scientific-minded at all. I'm actually very idealistic, but I'm also just skeptical of things
Yes, among less intelligent people with shitty morals/beliefs I find social interactions don't come hard (I'm pretty comfortable socially), I can always find or try to find common ground, BUT social interactions of these kind are very TAXING on me and I find I need alone time or to get away from these people before too long.
Alternatively, around intelligent, open-minded people/people that share similar beliefs, I find social interactions energizing.
I can think of two different scenarios in which a person wouldn't change slightly or to a large degree.
can't*
@greg_p - TX We are probably like-minded souls. Then again, I spent much of my life thinking I would become a priest, so morality is definitely a major concern for me
Do people have different personalities when hungry for example? How about that pep-in-your-step when your bank account is full as opposed to the slump in your shoulders when it's empty? Too many factors to make a science out of it unless you include these factors.
