hammer may drop today ... after these states certify their results it will put up or shut up time for the Trump legal team
Prepare to be underwhelmed.
their appeal in the PA case is already underwhelming https://www.politico.com/news/2020/11/22/trump-campaign-files-narrow-appeal-in-pennsylvania-439500
I guess I should say it's already been put up or shut up time and they haven't been putting up compelling evidence in court and they haven't been shutting up about wild allegations of massive coordinated fraud in public ... pretty sure that's all coming to an end early this week ... the rebuke of Powell was the start of the exit strategy
Chris Christie's comments yesterday were also a sign that this is coming to an end very soon
@nachik there were republican observers in the room , If any republican observers got kicked out it was most likely for reasons similar to this https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory/wisconsin-officials-trump-observers-obstructing-recount-74339030
Either way that law suit was thrown out because the official observers were in the room
and even those observers in Wisconsin are not getting kicked out
Yeah
so what ... the observers are close enough to see what's going on ... ideally for reducing Covid transmission each pair would be from the same household
@meglide, you just advanced to level 6!
I mean, dude on the left is not wearing his mask properly.
So I don't feel too bad for them.
This is what I'd call distancing based on unknown variables.
The two poll workers are wearing proper PPE equipment, the folks on the left are far more relaxed in their choice of PPE, to the point where one of them has basically taken off their mask entirely.
All the poll workers appear to be wearing better masks known to work better at stopping transmission and wearing them properly.
"it's already been put up or shut up time and they haven't been putting up compelling evidence in court and they haven't been shutting up about wild allegations of massive coordinated fraud in public"
That. I love that. Lmao @meglide
I'm truly worried about another 2016 happening again, this time from Republicans.
It's not going to help the discourse in this country.
It's going to do quite the opposite.
probably just due to the poll workers being supplied masks and the observers having to supply their own ... it's just one photo
And likely being instructed how to wear masks properly.
Again, unknown variables vs. known variables.
One is riskier than the other.
I'm taking a more optimistic view on it until proven otherwise ... the blue wave didn't happen, the Dems actually lost seats in the House and it appears the Reps will keep control of the Senate ... I'm hopeful that will allow the country to just calm down because a more moderate tone and more moderate agenda will be the order of the day
Except I think the law of arbitrary equivalence needs to be applied to that pic:
mask = communist = conspiracy
Think about it.
so if Trump loses, let's give up the Senate also? can't see how this helps your cause
So if Trump loses, let's just have a one-party system of our opposition.
solved
A guy made a compelling speech there for it. The video is priceless. Highly recommend actually hearing them talk. It adds dimension to the words.
I'm sure the dems are biting their nails and hoping they're not full of hot air.
Lmao. They can't go. They are our biggest excuse. Who would we blame things on?
The line of argument is augmented by the delivery. Promise.

So what kind of election developments can we expect this week? Anything major or the same ol' humdrum?
Rudy still says he has big things but they don't seem new. Also remember it's a short week. Then again, maybe he'll drop a bombshell Wednesday evening as a tactic.
Oh, yes, the crushing wait to wednesday-tactic.
Hey guys, so this is VERY interesting.
Sidney Powell posted a link on Twitter that got her banned for 12 hours.
“Sidney Powell is practicing law on her own. She is not a member of the Trump Legal Team. She is also not a lawyer for the President in his personal capacity.”
