I think it's telling that so many of the "witnesses" are lawyers and local politicians. A lot of them are people that want to be in the game and want to perform well for the coach. In this case, the coach is local party leadership which controls the purse strings. Having shown that you are a good team player by trying to "save the day" looks good to the coach and the fans (voters).

But the have to show that they have enough evidence that it is more likely than not to make their case. You wouldn't risk not getting to that point by laying out a circumstantial case without the connective tissue - if you actually have proof of malfeasance - just to wait to make you case in court. The last few weeks have shown that this is a bad strategy.

I think it would result in all future elections being decided in the House. The candidate who's party has more than 26 majority delegations will just tie everything up in court to make sure their opponent doesn't get 270 and ,Voila!, guaranteed win every time.

I personally think people are really reaching with all these fraud claims, it would have more traction if it highlights things like impropriety, negligence and errors.
