What I never understood is how they get away with infant protection laws prior to birth while simultaneously allowing abortions. If you kill a pregnant woman, for example, that's a double homicide. Something is either murder or it isn't.

@Fred X - NJ in NY, Cuomo reworked it to say that it's not homocide (or manslaughter) until the actual act of birth, removing the legal ramifications of abortions up until child birth, he also made it so that the process can be done by medical professionals who are not full time doctors i.e. anyone with a medical license

I skimmed the bill, he defines homocide and manslaughter as specifically post birth
