I have two panniers and a backpack...I ride 6 miles ~30minutes, buy all my stuff, ride home. If I make a mental menu I can get 2 weeks of food sorted out.

@Nemets Not all of us are blessed to live in a climate where biking is possible 12 months of the year 😂

In other words, some of us like seasons.

We have a season.

Also living in the country is nice, but prohibitive for non-car owners.
