Let me know if I'm breaching the chat rules, but do you guys think the rebel flag is specifically for the South, or does it just represent rural America?

2019-02-28 00:30:24 UTC

It's come to represent both in a way.

2019-02-28 00:30:40 UTC

the rebel flag is for Montana

2019-02-28 00:30:50 UTC

the rebel flag is for Eastern Washington

Pre nuptials can be made stronger if you agree to it long before the wedding and make the woman get her own legal counseling about it, or at least tell her she can consult an independent attorney if she wants. Stronger in some jurisdictions should be interpreted as simply less weak though since we live under a dictatorship.

James Allsup recently made a video talking about it, and he mentioned how it represents rural America in general, which I had never heard before. I always sort of felt that way, which is why I've always rather liked it, but that was just my personal preference

2019-02-28 00:31:28 UTC

@Jacob Cursed picture earlier btw

2019-02-28 00:31:49 UTC

Friends in high school were using it, and I didn't go to school in the south.

2019-02-28 00:31:55 UTC

Plenty of similar examples.

2019-02-28 00:32:03 UTC

@The Eternal Anglo it was necessary to make a point lol

2019-02-28 00:32:09 UTC

I feel like its rural America in general

2019-02-28 00:32:28 UTC

I suppose the flag largely just goes hand in hand with American white identity these days, even if that wasn't necessarily its original intention

2019-02-28 00:32:33 UTC

@DeusVolk Based and Sith pilled

2019-02-28 00:32:41 UTC

@Nico The Great - CA it's really a smaller facet, imo. Living here in the south will really open one's eyes to the cultural representation. These aren't people who _hate_ anyone, they just love who they are and where they come from.

2019-02-28 00:32:56 UTC

I feel like a southern girl at heart even though I was raised in the Midwest

2019-02-28 00:33:32 UTC

I basically wish I was southern lol, even though I'm a suburban Californian lol

2019-02-28 00:33:43 UTC

I was raised in central Missouri

2019-02-28 00:34:03 UTC

But my moms family was from South Carolina

2019-02-28 00:34:43 UTC

So we had fried chicken and potatuh salad for family gatherings

2019-02-28 00:34:56 UTC

That sounds sooo good!!

2019-02-28 00:35:05 UTC

Southern fare is the best fare

2019-02-28 00:35:31 UTC

That's how my grandma pronounced potato lol

2019-02-28 00:36:20 UTC

I visited my friend in Florida over the summer and his whole family is southern. The food in the south is amazing

2019-02-28 00:36:46 UTC

It is

2019-02-28 00:37:05 UTC

I love me some chicken fried steak with gravy

2019-02-28 00:37:11 UTC

And cornbread

2019-02-28 00:37:28 UTC

@Drover Tom Did you get some apple pie moonshine?

2019-02-28 00:37:50 UTC

@Phillip Wiglesworth - FL nahh unfortunately his mom is staunchly against drinking

2019-02-28 00:38:10 UTC

They’re like that southern haha

2019-02-28 00:38:14 UTC

Oh well. It's distinctly a southern specialty

2019-02-28 00:38:43 UTC

Not that I have a problem with people drinking, but I do like when "rural" people break the modern pop-country stereotype of drinking beer

2019-02-28 00:38:46 UTC

I've had moonshine

2019-02-28 00:39:00 UTC

One sip, wooee

2019-02-28 00:39:06 UTC

That was strong

2019-02-28 00:39:09 UTC

Pop-country is a blight on the American people

2019-02-28 00:39:16 UTC

My roommate last semester made moonshine in our back yard tho

2019-02-28 00:39:50 UTC

Did someone say moonshine?

The ol' toothless grannies down here make the apple pie stuff where you don't get the "wooee, that was strong" feeling. Smooth as silk, but it sneaks up on you. Dunno how they do it...
