what are you laughing about C++?

2019-08-29 14:10:43 UTC

@carlito you do realize that you can monitor the trafic going in and out of your machine right?
@Psyclone yes, theories that represent reality. the reason they are called theories is not because they are made up but because in science, you need to be open minded and be opened to the fact that you can be wrong.

2019-08-29 14:11:02 UTC

@carlito what's wrong with C++??

nothing is wrong with C++ , i would think AI is bit beyond that by now that's all

2019-08-29 14:11:53 UTC

what do you mean *beyond* that? do you know what C++ is?

2019-08-29 14:11:56 UTC

im back

2019-08-29 14:12:06 UTC

it's a programming language

2019-08-29 14:12:30 UTC

Oh?

2019-08-29 14:12:32 UTC

I'm a troll?

2019-08-29 14:12:35 UTC

Alright.

2019-08-29 14:12:39 UTC

Pure coca cola ideology.

2019-08-29 14:12:40 UTC

AI is limited, computing processing power is powerful, but the problem is that fuzzy logic emulates logical thinking but doesn't actually do logical thinking

2019-08-29 14:12:58 UTC

Exactly. You need to be open to the possibility that you are wrong. And so far you’re not. Theories are nice. But we’ve examined the so-called ‘evidence’ that supports these theories, and they’re not *real* evidence. They’re further speculation and theory, backed up by theoretical maths. Give us some evidence IN REALITY that proves your model.

2019-08-29 14:13:02 UTC

That’s the point.

2019-08-29 14:13:12 UTC

C++ is object oriented programming and is also aplication programming, not that complicated.

2019-08-29 14:13:34 UTC

system programming is harder to code, program the language above application programming

2019-08-29 14:13:41 UTC

sure, i'm opened to being wrong, however, your proofs are wrong and don't work with the real world, take one look at a flat map and realize how distances are distorted

2019-08-29 14:13:49 UTC

coding more to machine language

2019-08-29 14:14:08 UTC

No one claims a 100% accurate map. And I certainly didn’t. So that’s a straw man.

2019-08-29 14:14:24 UTC

Can you provide a verifiable measurement of curvature of the ground?

2019-08-29 14:14:30 UTC

are you saying that it's harder to code using machine code than C++ for example

2019-08-29 14:15:29 UTC

@Lampz I said that the images of the sun and Moon are sometimes distorted by the Earth's atmosphere, which can give the impression that both objects are in the sky when in reality they aren't. This isn't personification, thus is how atmospheric distortion works. Nor was I saying that the sun and Moon are just projections. Good lord.

2019-08-29 14:15:34 UTC

a flat map is horribly distorted, there's a reason why you need many smaller localized maps.
because the second you try to represent something bigger, it starts being extremely imprecise, you can have a way more accurate map using a globe.

2019-08-29 14:16:09 UTC

it's not a strawman, flat maps are monstrously distorted

2019-08-29 14:16:14 UTC

Why does the US geological survey use the AE map then?

2019-08-29 14:16:17 UTC

They don’t use Mercator.

2019-08-29 14:16:29 UTC

Who’s arguing maps?

2019-08-29 14:16:39 UTC

The globe doesn’t have an accurate map. All the land masses are distorted.

2019-08-29 14:16:47 UTC

That doesn’t prove anything at all.

2019-08-29 14:16:48 UTC
2019-08-29 14:16:52 UTC

Talk about reality please.

2019-08-29 14:16:55 UTC

Not maps. Not theories.

2019-08-29 14:17:01 UTC

Demonstrate something IN REALITY.

2019-08-29 14:17:28 UTC

@Ymir just... terrifying explain your sabs

2019-08-29 14:17:48 UTC

Hm?

2019-08-29 14:17:49 UTC

because in the US, AE is more accurate than mercator, but i can guaranty you that australia doesn't use the same map

2019-08-29 14:17:58 UTC

yes, a map is a representation of reality
