Message from sigruna14 in Nice Respectable People Group #announcements
I’m rushing to finish something for Red Ice, so we’ll begin the fireside at 8:15. See you then!
We're about to get started. Make sure to join us in general voice chat! @everyone
@everyone is politely reminded to mute your mics. If you hotmic, you will be server muted with no warning, and I do not guarantee that you will be unmuted unless you ask.
@everyone A new rule has been added: "The <#359019358204198926> channel is for posting good news, things that will lift people's spirits and serve to maintain a high level of morale and mental health. Its purpose is defeated when it is filled up with useless discussion. Therefore, do not discuss anything in <#359019358204198926>. If you want to discuss something posted there, take it to <#358403210618339338>. <#359019358204198926> must remain as a simple listing of good news that people can scroll through. Violations will lead to suspension of posting privileges in <#359019358204198926>."
On enforcement: This will be enforced every three reprimands by the formula (number of reprimands / 3) x 30. Therefore, 3 reprimands = 30 days, 6 = 60 etc. If somehow you should manage to hit 15 reprimands (5 months suspension) you will be permanently blocked. If this seems harsh, remember turning <#359019358204198926> into another <#358403210618339338> not only totally defeats its purpose, but creates a ton of work for my moderators and me as we have to go through and erase all the flotsam. We have long tried to get people to refrain from discussion in there, but now that it is an official, enforceable rule, there should be no excuse.
Despite some issues regarding facial coverings, our Chicago guys did a great banner drop today. The banner itself is top notch, and while the wind did make obtaining good pictures hard, we still were able to make it work. Great work, gentlemen!
I'd like to remind you all to read <#371705962224025610>. You're expected to be familiar with the information therein. In particular, you should know that **IE activists cannot cover their faces or bring weapons to activism.** If either of these prevent you from doing activism, then just don't do activism. There are many other ways to contribute.
I hope you all had a great weekend, and I'm looking forward to speaking with you all on Wednesday as usual.
@everyone I am seeing people saying that people are having their accounts and servers deleted. At this time I am not aware of any IE servers being targeted by this, nor do I have any reason to believe they will be, however, this is a good time to mention that, should you see our server disappear from your list, do not assume you were banned, but reach out to your coordinator. This is also a good time to remind everyone to ensure they have an up-to-date e-mail address on file with IE. If you need to update your e-mail address, DM @Matthias.
@everyone Several modifications have been made to the rules. Most were clarifications, but the most salient is the replacement of rule 5. It now reads as follows:
5 - Veracity of Information
The spreading of false information casts us in a very bad light if we partake in it. When such false information is posted in this server, it can lead activists to embarass our organization by using it, thinking it was trustworthy because it was posted here. Therefore, do not post anything in this server without making every effort possible to verify it as true, unless you clearly and explicitly mark it with the words "NOT FACTUAL" in all-caps.```
This replaces the rule banning white sharia, because that issue is largely dead now, however, WS is still inappropriate for this server and will be enforced under rule 14.
- Remove statements of applicable penalties from most rules. In practice, some leeway is given for edge cases, honest mistakes, or minor infractions, and so the rules now reflect the reality that not every violation is dealt with the same.
- Clarify that you can post unarchived links if the archived version doesn't display properly, as long as you clearly state that you are posting unarchived because the archived version does not work.
Finally, the rules as listed in <#405211244023382016> now differ substantially with the rules provided by @Apollo. Therefore, please note that at all times, the version in <#405211244023382016> shall prevail.
ATTENTION @everyone : Leading Our People Forward, our first national conference, is coming up on March 9th and 10th followed by activism on March 11th. **The last day to register for the conference will be Saturday, March 3rd** and reminders will be posted frequently here in <#358430171583217664> until that date.
Unless you registered via postal mail just in the past few days, all registrants thus far should have their confirmation documents. If you’re missing it, check your spam folder on your email account or contact me. Within the confirmation documents is the server for all those confirmed to attend the conference.
Lodging is still available at the venue, or with other attendees. We’re also going to accommodate sponsorship until the registration deadline, so you’re welcome to contact me if you’d like to go if not for the registration cost. I’d like to thank the IE Patrons in particular who are making this event possible!
I would like to ask @everyone to take a moment to visit the <#371705962224025610> channel and re-familiarize yourselves with the numerous documents Nathan has published for our organization. These documents not only define who we are as an organization, but also set guidelines for behavior that is expected of all of us - both here in Discord, and also in public. It's always a good idea to keep these things fresh in our minds as it helps us move forward as a respectable organization.
Let's give it up for @Lanark-MI and the other MI members who dropped an excellent banner in Dearborn today! Phenomenal work!
@everyone Please note, rule 5 regarding veracity of information is no less of a rule than any other and is still subject to official reprimands for violations. As usual, there is leeway for clear honest mistakes, but if it's something that was obviously very easy to check on and you posted it here first without taking the short time to check it, it may be entered as a reprimand.
A reprimand is essentially a recorded warning for violating a rule and does not necessarily imply any further action, so don't worry too much if you just receive one, but do worry if you start getting a lot - in that case, you should probably review the server rules and be more careful about what you post. Remember, this is an official national activism coordination hub, not a shitposting server, and we have to have high standards for what is posted here.
Leading Our People Forward, our first national conference, is less than two weeks away on March 9th and 10th followed by activism on March 11th. **The last day to register for the conference will be Saturday, March 3rd**, just a few days away.
We also have one activist from California who needs some help with his airfare. We currently have it halfway covered, so please lend a hand if you cannot attend and haven’t sponsored someone else yet. Thank you! paypal.me/JPAdams83
I'd like to remind everyone that when flyering, you're supposed to include something more than just the flyer in the photo. Please don't simply point the camera at the flyer and take a picture. Make sure that the flyer is either to the right or the left of the shot, and that there's something in the other half: hallway, room, courtyard, etc. (not the wall please).
Be sure to read the PDF in <#359086234175275010> before you go out and flyer. But I like what I'm seeing so far, so keep up the great work!
Fireside chat tonight at 8 PM EST. @everyone
**New payment method:**
Zelle is a way for people to pay directly from their bank account to ours. If anyone wants to pay us from any of the affiliated banks (https://www.zellepay.com/get-started), which includes all the big names like BoA, Chase, USAA, Citi, Wells Fargo, Capital One, etc., then he can sign up with Zelle on his mobile device and **send a payment to 205-775-0842, with a transaction note.**
This requires a payment directly from the sender's bank account, so it doesn't work with credit cards. There's no way to set up recurring payments either. But this is a great option, giving us a lot of breathing room.
> sign up with Zelle on your mobile device
> use Zelle to send payments to 205-775-0842
> add clear transaction note with Discord username, e.g. mentioning dues, conference payment, legal fund donation, etc.
We'll get started in about ten minutes. In the meantime, make sure to sign this South African petition if you haven't already!
Congratulations to @Valaska, our first member of the month! Well done! @everyone
Identity Evropa is once again starting a legal server and is looking for licensed attorneys and law students to join.
We had a legal server once before I became CEO but, due to scheduling conflicts and inactivity, we abandoned it.
Nevertheless, there is a growing need to have a place in which Identity Evropa's legal minds can brainstorm and communicate confidentially. Your participation in the server, like your participation in Identity Evropa itself, will not require you to do anything publicly.
If you're willing to join, please DM @Deleted User and let him know *even if you were already in the prior server* and even if you've already communicated with him that you're an attorney or law student.
Our need for legal minds will continue to grow as Identity Evropa continues to evolve into a more mainstream political entity, so your contribution will be deeply appreciated. @everyone
Discord has apparently deleted a number of right-wing Discord servers lately. In light of this, make sure you have your coordinator's email contact information, in case anything happens.
If our server is deleted, we'll make a new one or perhaps switch services, so don't fret!
@everyone Regarding the shutdowns, Polygon had this to report from Discord about an apparently especially infuriating server called Centipede Central:
The team has confirmed that they are aware of Centipede Central and will take action if they find CC is in violation of their terms of service and/or community guidelines```
Take note of this. This means we may not be subject to any action at all as long as we strictly observe our rules. The rules of this server are even more strict than the Discord Community Guidelines referenced by its ToS. I want everyone to review the <#405211244023382016> right now, familiarize yourselves with them, and if you see something you believe to be in violation, please tag <@&358437309076602912> so it can be handled. It's not about being a tattle-tale, it's about keeping our server so we can continue to use it to organize and maintain our wonderful community we have built. If somebody is threatening to take that away from you by violating our server rules and putting our server at risk of being shut down, then they are the ones in the wrong, not you.
@everyone Rule 10 on screenshots has been clarified to read as follows:
Taking a screenshot of any IE Discord server (or any other official IE communication medium), except to share to another channel on IE Discord other than receiving, or to an IE coordinator by direct message, is grounds for dismissal from the organization. If you take a screenshot under the exceptions listed in this rule, you must delete all copies in your possesion immediately after sharing it. The mere existence of a message containing a screenshot captured and shared under one of this rule's exceptions does not count as a copy in your possession.```
@everyone Please note that the information to pay by Zelle has been updated - use [email protected] as the target for the payment rather than the number that was announced previously. If you paid via the number already, please DM @Ben - OH. See <#388558559752880139> for full payment details. Zelle is our preferred payment method now, so please pay that way if you can.
**Conference:** The last day to register for Leading Our People Forward is this Saturday. I have now received all of the topics from the evening speakers and, believe me, this is going to be essential. If you are on the fence, go. If you are not in the event server, check your Confirmation email.
We still have an activist who needs your help. His airfare is reasonable and over halfway covered, but we need a bit more to push him over the edge. Please mark a donation for “sponsorship” to this paypal: http://paypal.me/JPAdams83
Thank you! @everyone
@everyone If you are interested in the Warrior Dash, please DM @Suomi Stronk!
Attention @everyone: You MUST include your Discord username as a transaction note with your Zelle payments! If you are not sure that you did, DM @Ben - OH immediately.
Today is the last day to register for the conference!
If you have registered but are not in the event server, please check your Confirmation email. We were successful in raising the airfare funds for that activist in need!
@everyone Rule 10 has been updated to clarify that copy/pastes are considered the same as screenshots for the purposes of that rule.
In light of recent events, Identity Evropa leadership is *strongly* dissuading IE members from attending the Alt-Right MSU event tomorrow.
Due to extreme incompetence, negligence, and carelessness on behalf of those planning these events, the following has occurred:
-The email list used by organizers was infiltrated by antifa. Despite this, organizers continued to provide sensitive email to those on the list.
-Those on the email list were told to meet at designated rally points. Unsurprisingly, antifa found them at these rally points.
-As a result, Alt-Right people were followed when they tried to leave. Antifa and the National Lawyers Guild thus discovered the house where Richard and others are staying, and are apparently monitoring the house.
-The location of the hotel where attendees were told to stay was leaked as well, which resulted in antifa protesting outside.
-The MI Alt-Right group that was originally involved has almost entirely pulled out for obvious reasons.
Given all of this, Identity Evropa members risk recklessly jeopardizing their safety by attending this event. Its organizers have made an effort to convince attendees that they will not be attacked or doxed, but at this point that remains doubtful.
If you’re still going to attend, please DM me.
As you may have already seen, Patriot Front's Discord server was infiltrated by Leftists, who obtained some very embarrassing audio footage (military LARPing, advocating rape in the ethnostate, etc.)
I want to remind you all that this is why we have the <#405211244023382016> that we do. Even joking around about certain things is prohibited for this reason.
Have a great Monday!
In light of recent events, some of you have asked me what our strategy is. (Because it's clear that what happened today and yesterday will get us nowhere.)
As such, I've compiled a list of resources here. Familiarize yourselves with these and then ask questions if you have them. (Or don't, it's not mandatory like reading what's in <#405211244023382016> or <#371705962224025610>.)
Please message me if you haven't been added to your state server. @everyone
By the way, @everyone, I changed my name to avoid catching a ban. (My Discord handle, not the nickname.)
@everyone The server rules are posted in <#405211244023382016>. Please read and follow them. If you have to ask if something violates the rules, don't post it. My mods and I can tell when you are saying something trying to skirt around the edge of the rules; it will not fly with us. If you don't want to post within the rules, please don't post. The preservation of this server and IE's public image is more important than you getting to say exactly what you want to say on this server. There are plenty of shitposting servers. This is not one.
*"I'm asking this in earnest, because I just don't know, so perhaps someone more knowledgeable than me can provide an answer. At what point do these type of events start hurting us more than helping us?"*
I'd say Charlottesville marked that point. We're still shilling out ~3k a month to this legal defense. We have no idea how long the case could continue for. So many people went dark after UTR for opsec reasons. The rally resulted in the Left having ammo for its "right-wing terrorist" narrative.
The issue is that some people haven't learned the lesson -- they think these announced events are a good model, but they simply are not. And those who think they are are *rapidly* becoming the minority.
There's an unfortunate tendency on the Right to think that more stress/pain/strife/legal problems etc. = more success. But honestly all of the evidence points the opposite being true. These rough events make people *feel* like they're furthering the cause, but feelings and reality are not the same. (Subjective idealists please go.)
We're not going to withdraw from the world, but we will absolutely not rely on reckless publicity stunts to grow our organization. You guys are too valuable to be used as useful idiots, and thankfully we do not need to rely on this form of activism in order to succeed.
In light of the fact that I have a ton to do before I leave for the conference tomorrow, tonight's fireside is going to be a bit shorter than usual -- but it will happen nonetheless! I haven't missed one so far, and I don't intend on breaking my streak.
See you all tonight at 8 PM EST!
Fireside in 15! I'm going to talk about our strategy going forward. Again, it'll be a bit shorter tonight in light of the conference but I'm looking forward to speaking with you all. @everyone
On the eve of our first conference, the Board of Directors thought it appropriate to add a new document to the Guidebook. It's called _Focal Point 2018. Our path to a greater, highly effective organization._
In _Focal Point 2018_ you will learn about our vision for a much larger, highly successful organization. More important, you'll gain full clarity of our organization's purpose and learn about the vital role you must play in taking us to the next level.
For conference attendees, it's especially important for you to read this latest Guidebook expansion so you'll be fully prepared to contribute to what's promising to be a phenomenal event.
Here's to a high-energy weekend!
I'd like to yet again thank everyone who attended and organized Leading Our People Forward and the Parthenon action. Both events were incredibly successful, inspiring, and rewarding -- and they're evidence that this organization has everything we need to constitute *our own movement*.
To all who didn't attend: Speeches and video of the Parthenon action should be uploaded in the next week or two. Let's all thank @FACINEMA in advance for the work he will soon do!
Moreover, I'd like to remind you that we'll be doing more events like this in the future. If you missed this one, you definitely won't want to miss the next!
NPI is attacking us on Twitter again. Basically, they're alleging that we screwed everything up because our lawyer didn't respond to a response to the motion to dismiss.
However, I spoke with multiple lawyers in the movement -- some in IE -- and what our lawyer did was perfectly normal and actually the right thing to do. Amusingly, the only people claiming we screwed up are non-lawyers. In fact, I haven't found a single lawyer who claims that our lawyer was in the wrong here.
As usual, IE leadership will just ignore them. We have no use for such petty e-drama!
I promise only to shill for this once, but I'm doing a fundraiser to make it to the Stockholm Scandza forum in early April to live stream the event for Red Ice. You all were a great help in getting me there last year, and for that I'm eternally grateful.
If you're interested in donating, you can do so here: https://www.paypal.me/redice. **Please include a note saying it's for the Scandza fundraiser.**
Thanks! Fireside chat tomorrow at 8 PM EST as usual. It'll be a good one, so you won't want to miss it!
