i was eating a lot of "0 net carb" bread for a while and just could not get my body to go into ketosis, come to find out it is not 0 net carb as advertised, it's more like 2
which doesnt sound like a lot, but when you have a limit of 20 it adds up super fast
last year i did a 1500 cal diet and dropped 30lbs, then did keto for 4 months and dropped 45lbs

then stopped keto and moved out here and put on 30 pounds, but now i'm almost down to the weight i moved here out
I’ve been maintaining for the past 6 months at 200, might wanna bulk after this
it's good progress but still not super close to my target weight
i started at 315, got to 245, am at 253 now from 275, the weight i'll go off keto and just do normal low-carb and exercise is probably going to be 180/190 pounds and then i'll do that until i'm 165ish, then i'm going to try to bulk up with muscle and hopefully, end at 185 or so
probably 2-3 years in total for all of that to happen
i'm hoping to be 200 by the end of the year
i've got 7 and a half months to do it, so that should be easy
and then i think as a permanent eating change i'm just going to do low-carb. we eat waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many carbs.
Just keep going and don’t freak out over small things, make sure it’s possible to keep doing this for the next 7 months
100-125 carbs a day as opposed to, IIRC, the typical american male eats like 300/day
oh it is, a good friend of mine from KC has been on keto for 6 years
he was almost 500lbs and is now in the low 300s, which he's 6'10 so
the biggest thing for me is plateaus, they're really common on keto and if you don't keep your head in the game it's really easy to psych yourself out and give up
keto weight loss is fucking weird. when i did normal diet/exercise a few years ago i dropped 30lbs but i did so at a very consistent rate. keto is like, you can drop 10lbs in a week but then you won't lose anything for another week, then you'll go 3lbs in a week and then 5 and then nothing, and it's just a similar cycle to that
with keto gaining steam in the past year, a lot of companies now are making low carb snacks and shit and that makes it a sight easier to give in to cravings and stay on top of the diet. i can eat 2 pints of triple chocolate ice cream that's better than blue bell and not be out of my carb limit for the day
so now whenever i take a cheat out of cravings(instead of today where i didnt really have a choice because i ran out of shit) i cheat with things that are really good but still relatively low-carb so i don't throw my ketosis out of whack
