the neolibs are against the china trade war and tariffs, the situation with canada, SALT deduction removal

2020-01-08 05:35:16 UTC

But they are also supportive of unilateral wars that help them profit in other countries.

2020-01-08 05:35:16 UTC

there really isnt that much trump has done domestically, or at all outside of huge major goofs

2020-01-08 05:35:47 UTC

nah the main neolib foreign policy is the mistaken belief america can replicate itself in other countries and perserving the global liberal trade order

2020-01-08 05:35:51 UTC

trump is 100% against that

2020-01-08 05:36:23 UTC

They hate Trump still, but that doesn't mean they won't take a major feast like a war in Iran.

2020-01-08 05:36:37 UTC

the main neolib is against it, Richard Haass

2020-01-08 05:36:55 UTC

they aren't that stupid

2020-01-08 05:37:18 UTC

bombing iran is what the neocons want

2020-01-08 05:38:33 UTC

Who isn't even part of the neo liberal faction that don't honestly care, as long as they make a quick buck.

2020-01-08 05:40:30 UTC

```Richard Haass worked for Secretary of State Colin Powell in the Bush administration and was Director of Policy Planning for the US State Department from 2001-2003 during the lead-up to the Iraq war. Haass has said he was 60 percent against the Iraq war.[6]```
2020-01-08 05:41:28 UTC
Which doesn't make him the sort of pro-war neo liberal faction that Trump is fauning to.
2020-01-08 05:44:39 UTC
Honestly kill Americans then it's fair game in my books. Same way if you kill a family member. I don't understand why Dems let Iran push us around for years and let the situation get to this point. This could've been handled forever ago but Obama had 0 stones when going about foreign policy.
2020-01-08 05:52:49 UTC
For the same reason Trump didn't go to war with NK in his first 90 days, it will be a mess that might hurt his political career. No one likes to be President who loses a war or makes a costly one. However, Trump's overconfidence might push him into making that mistake with Iran.
I mean Iran is clearly wanting to provoke America to attack to claim the U.S is trying to be imperialistic
2020-01-08 06:07:49 UTC
starve their people of food and medicine ends up with shit like this
2020-01-08 06:07:59 UTC
Hard to do so
2020-01-08 06:08:35 UTC
no, that's what we've been doing. US sanctions are doing that, killing people.
2020-01-08 06:08:44 UTC
They share a waterway with Russia.
2020-01-08 06:10:35 UTC
Pompeo has been trying to get a war with Iran going as long as he's been there
2020-01-08 06:10:55 UTC
he wanted war when the drone was shot down and the oil field attacks. all he could talk about until Ukraine stuff
2020-01-08 06:11:23 UTC
obviously Bolton's tenure meant another Iran hawk, etc
2020-01-08 06:11:39 UTC
Not to mention Iran has consolidated it's power. They have their people's support
2020-01-08 06:11:44 UTC
A minority blaming the country he lives in <:thonk:583236646858653696>
2020-01-08 06:12:24 UTC
I'm blaming the hijacked leadership of my country, we have fallen into a manipulation by foreign powers
2020-01-08 06:12:50 UTC
Getting the US sucked into another war is what America's enemies want
2020-01-08 06:17:02 UTC
War isn't good stuff, especially nowadays I think. Because of how utterly pointless it really seems. When we have the resources to elevate humanity (and save the Earth), but instead we hoard them and wage war...pretty sick.
2020-01-08 06:18:18 UTC
I wonder what this plane crash(?) is going to do to the situation
2020-01-08 06:18:27 UTC
It sure seems like quite the coincidence
2020-01-08 06:19:01 UTC
powers at be like pissing on Ukraine's foot
2020-01-08 06:19:02 UTC
scared
2020-01-08 06:19:39 UTC
If it's actually an accident, I think it could actually de-escalate things - but that line of thinking is overly optimistic
2020-01-08 06:20:51 UTC
upgraded car bomb, crash commercial planes into suburbs
2020-01-08 06:21:41 UTC
Israeli airports must be fun rn
2020-01-08 06:22:17 UTC
Israel must be fun rn
2020-01-08 06:22:18 UTC
Lol
2020-01-08 06:22:45 UTC
Those guys are pretty tough, used to having missiles rain down on them every day
2020-01-08 06:23:13 UTC
But Iran (*and friends*) is a bit different than Palestinians
2020-01-08 06:23:43 UTC
Iran via Hezbollah was the first country to make Isreal submit ground, and maybe the first to compromise their communications
2020-01-08 06:23:54 UTC
This ain't Iraq
